Hi kids! I am in LA and hopefully very busy so I might not be updating too much over the next 9 days, but I also might shoot some parties while I am out here in which case I will be updating. I mean I really don’t know but whatever the case I am sure I will shoot a bunch of naked ladies that you will eventually see photos of which is obviously important to your life.

Speaking of naked ladies, here are some pictures of the adorable Aria Rae who I met when she was a Burning Angel a long time ago but we never took any photos. A couple years later we did a photo shoot in my kitchen. I have a pretty big kitchen but I also don’t cook anything so it’s very often used as storage space but I was between roommates so my kitchen was relatively box free and shooting her in my kitchen seemed like a way better idea than finding an actual location for a shoot.

Anyway, I am gonna go do LA things like get stuck in traffic and talk about my screen play with someone I am pretending to be friends with. So go look at these photos. 2013 was a pretty good year for me. I went on an epic 31 day road trip, published a book, launched an app, didn’t loose any important clients and picked up a couple new ones. I now have photos in nearly every Hustler Magazine and at the same time just shot one of my biggest commercial gigs of all time. I photographed a million plus dollar fundraiser honoring Oliver Stone in LA on the same weekend I shot a bunch of strippers in Vegas. I threw a 750 person tailgate and raised thousands of dollars for charity through DolfansNYC. I photographed my fourth Gathering of the Juggalos and had a photo in a show a the Museum of the City of New York. I had a big solo show in LA and my book all but sold out in a month.  I worked for Rolling Stone, shot the cover of the River Front Times and had photos in print in four continents. And I did all of it without running out of money and not getting arrested (although I did get five traffic citations despite not owning a car). It was good year.

There were some low moments as well, I lost my grandmother and my friend Ease DaMan, but that’s how life works and you just gotta keep moving. I want to take my grandmother’s work ethic and empathy and Ease’s passion and lust for life and use that to make 2014 even better than 2013.

In 2014 I hope to publish SEVERAL new books and keep my eclectic photo work moving forward. I hope to shoot some big budget ads, juggalos, corporate events, porn stars, editorial pictorials and documentary work. My road trip web series will be out early next year and I hope 2014 is the year I FINALLY redesign my website. Hope I can lose the damn weight I gained on my road trip and start a new punk band. I want to write more and read more and take photos every day. I want to fuck shit up in 2014. What’s your plan?

Tonight I am gonna go out and hopefully hit a bunch of parties and get into some crazy shit. New Years Eve is one of the few times I drink and I tend to end up at some wild parties. I recently went back and looked at old NYE photos and there are some fucking out of control photos. I decided in celebration I would take the craziest 125 NYE photos over the last 6 years and upload them to my app. There are photos on there I can’t believe I ever published on here. Way back in January I was working on my AVN Awards behind the scenes coverage for Hustler and I ran into Bonnie Rotten who was hanging out with Malice McMunn. I had met Bonnie the year before and even though she wasn’t even doing porn at the time she stood out to me because she was adorable and covered in tattoos. So when I ran into Malice & Bonnie I pitched them on the idea of doing this AVN behind the scenes shoot and they were down to shoot for it and after the article ran in Hustler I posted the gallery of my shoot with Malice & Bonnie here.

When I told my editor at Hustler that I was shooting Bonnie for the AVN story, he got excited and asked if I would shoot Bonnie for an interview feature as well. She had totally blown up in the adult world in under a year and he wanted to get her in the magazine. So right before I shot Malice & Bonnie together, I shot Bonnie by herself in her Vegas hotel room. A few months later I was in LA and Hustler asked me if I wanted to do Bonnie’s interview as well so I met up with her on a film shoot and interviewed her. If you want to read that you have to pick up last month’s Hustler but I will mention a couple of things.

There aren’t many super tattooed girls that are really successful in the adult world. There are a ton of tattooed girls out there that do sites like Burning Angel but not a lot of really featured girls. Bonnie is a legit star. I asked her about this and other things in the interview, but I can tell you why Bonnie has done what a lot of other tattooed girls haven’t. Aside from being really adorable Bonnie is a god damned professional. A ton of girls flaked on me at AVN and it’s a constant problem when shooting naked girls but Bonnie not only didn’t flake, but she woke me up to ask how she wanted her make up done. She hired her own make up artist and was ready right when she said she would be. When we did the interview she was dealing with some stuff, but she stopped in the middle, did the interview and then went back to what she was doing. She’s also very smart, very cool and very aware of her brand and what jobs to take and which ones not to take. I guarantee you are going to be seeing a lot more of Bonnie Rotten… on both sides of the camera.

Also, since I shot this for Hustler they asked me to shoot some graphic spread legged shots and stuff. I don’t like to post stuff like that on Driven By Boredom, but since I am always looking for new reasons to get you to sign up for my app, I posted all the extra dirty shots on the Girls of Driven By Boredom web app. Go sign up already!

Two of my favorite naked girls on earth both are so called “alt” girls that have made it in the mainstream porn world, and they also happen to be dating each other. I have wanted to shoot Skin Diamond and Asphyxia Noir since the moment I heard of their existence. I got to meet them both when I picked them up at a Vegas bus station several years ago as a favor to Burning Angel. BA was throwing a party in Vegas and everything was running behind so they asked me to pick up the girls. I figured I couldn’t say no and I ended up shooting them quickly in a bathroom that night.

Fast forward several years and I hadn’t managed to shoot them for real, outside a night club bathroom. Skin always seemed really interested in shooting with me but she is an amazingly busy human and I am only in LA so often so it never happened. Fortunately at the AVN Awards this year I was shooting a behind the scenes story for Hustler and I caught them right after the awards ended. They just wanted to go smoke weed and relax after wearing high heels and getting their pictures taken five million times, but I told them they could just go smoke and since they were changing out of their AVN dresses anyway all they had to do is be themselves and I would take photos. Easiest photo shoot ever.

We ended up in comedian Brian Redban’s room and they got naked and just started smoking and getting super posey because they are both amazing models, but I sort of wanted more real life shit. Fortunately after a few puffs they were just laughing their asses off and it quickly became one of my favorite shoots ever despite shooting it with an on camera flash in a hotel room. These are probably technically the worst naked girl photos I have posted on here in a while, but they are some of my favorites anyway. These girls are so rad and so hot that it was just amazing to shoot them while they were just fucking around after a long day. My guess it was one of the easiest photo shoots they have ever done, and as much fun as you could have on a shoot without anyone having sex.

Thanks again to Redban for the use of the room and the photos he took of me in my AVN suit (Driven By Boredom was nominated for best website) and thanks to Skin and Asphyxia for finally sucking it up and shooting with me. You guys rule. And thanks for Hustler for actually paying me to party with hot naked girls all the time.

So my road trip continued when I picked up one of my favorite Burning Angel babes Sidney Scarlet in Chicago and started out on Route 66 in earnest. She picked up some booze and I picked up some coffee and we drove as much the original Route 66 as we could South through Illinois. We had a bit of a hiccup along the way when Sidney managed to break her brand new phone in the middle of a movie about Joliet, IL at the Joliet Historical museum so we had to go on an adventure to the Joliet Mall where we met an AT&T salesman who told us about his homemade porn collection and wanted to get high with us. Sidney gave him her number.

After that we made moves to Target because Sidney forgot to pack underwear. Amazingly the power was out in Target so we shopped using the flashlight app on my phone. Sidney tried on a swimsuit top in the middle of the store and I video taped the whole thing. After that we finally got back on the road where she proceeded to flash me in front of every roadside attraction we could find. We also fed sheep or goats or something. And by feed I mean we threw food at them and they ignored us. I doubt they even said hi to their mother for me.

Unfortunately I only shot video and 35mm stuff while we were on the road but we did do a digital photo shoot once we got to our hotel in Pontiac, IL. I will post a preview of that below the fold. More adventures on Illinois Route 66 tomorrow!

I took a short drive down to Richmond, VA in December to see some friends while I was in DC for Christmas. A couple days before I went down there I saw on Twitter that a Burning Angel named Mabel Wolfe lived in Richmond. I was going to stay in some shitty motel so I figured I might as well hit her up and see if she would want to do a shoot in my gross highway motel. Not only was she down, but it turns out she was an old school Driven By Boredom fan long before she ever got naked on the Internets.

Mabel is totally awesome and we hit it off right away. We ended up doing the photo shoot and then going across the street and eating at Olive Garden with a mutual friend of ours. I think it was only the second time in my life I had ever been to Olive Garden but it was surprisingly delicious and I took photos of Mabel’s boobs under the sign.

After our Olive Garden throw down we met up with another mutual friend Pam and instead doing a nice photo shoot of the two of them like we planned, they got really drunk and I took photos of them eating Taco Bell.  The whole thing was awesome and Mabel and I kept in touch and she actually hung out with me on my birthday the other night and yelled at me for not putting up these photos yet so here they are. I was in DC visiting my parents over Christmas and I decided to take a two day trip to Richmond, VA. I went to college there and there are a few girls I wanted to photograph. I wanted to do another shoot with Pam Chemist and I had another girl in mind who ultimately couldn’t shoot. Luckily a couple days before I went down there I read on Twitter that a Burning Angel named Mabel lived down there and I hit her up to shoot as well.

My first night in Richmond I spent with friends but the next afternoon Mabel came over and we did a photo shoot that you will see later. I had plans to shoot Pam later than night when she got off work but at some point I found out that Pam and Mabel were friends so we decided to shoot both of them together. So Mabel and I went to visit a mutual friend at ate at Olive Garden for some reason. When Pam got off work she needed booze and tacos. We ended up hitting a liquor store and a Taco Bell and taking it all back to the hotel.

By the time they ate and had their make up on they were so drunk that we just gave up on a real photo shoot and I took photos of them jumping on the bed and eating tacos. In the end it’s probably way better than any real photo shoot I could have done, plus it was much more hilarious. So yeah, technically this is not the best work I have ever done, but the photos are pretty fucking amazing anyway. Taco Bell + Boobs = art. Trust me, I went to art school.

The 30th annual Adult Video News Awards were held Saturday night at the Joint in the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, NV. I have been covering the event for several years and I think this year was the smoothest and well done of the ones I have attended. The awards in the past have been a little tedious but I had a great time at this one. My ex-girlfriend and still good friend Kimberly Kane presented all three performer of the year awards and she killed it. The homie James Deen won performer of the year again and a bunch other people I know and don’t hate won some things. Burning Angel won some shit too. Driven By Boredom was nominated for best photography website but we sadly didn’t win, which probably makes sense because the site isn’t really a porn site despite what my parents think.

Tyga played Rack City and a bunch of other songs and the winner of the transexual performer of the year tried to blow him on stage and their was some nudity and weirdness and good times. I took a ton of photos and you should look at them. I would probably talk more about the awards but Vegas was fucking insane and exhausting and I have to drive back to LA now even though I have no idea where I am going to stay. Huzzah. If I know anything about the internet is that boobs and cute animals are the only things that matter.
