I can’t say that I have ever been to Ohio before. I probably have and just don’t remember it, but either way I was not exactly excited about going to Cleveland.  My dad used to work in Cleveland all the time so I was half expecting to run into someone who looks exactly like me only to find out about a second family my dad had, otherwise who would willingly spend that much time in Ohio?

When the Why Do I Live Like This tour stopped at B Side Liquor Lounge in the suburbs of Cleveland I was not exactly surprised to see about a half dozen people on the dance floor and another dozen watching from the sides.  It was Sunday night and I had a feeling this was going to be a disaster.  I had pretty much committed myself to not having any fun and I was sitting in the smoking area out back playing on my iPad. The crowd had gotten better by this point and Prince Terrence started yelling at me for sulking and somehow convinced me to take photos.  The first girl I shot Terry had just started talking to. Her name was Haley Ann and it turns out she runs the B Side Blog.

She introduced me to everyone and told me the hip kids to photograph. I ended up having a lot of fun and took a bunch of photos and after the bar has closed Haley and I went into the mens room and shot some old school naked bathroom photos until my camera ran out of batteries and we had to go back to the hotel.  Those pictures will be up on Monday probably, but there is a little NSFW teaser at the end of this set to get you excited.

Also, totally randomly Trail Of Dead were playing upstairs at the Grog Shop and I ran into Jason who is one of the owners of Beauty Bar Austin. I didn’t get to talk to him much but it was good to see him anyway.

Sammi Sprinkles does not care that you think she’s fat.  Home girl embraces that shit and makes it work for her. Sammi makes money as a cam girl getting naked for random dudes on the internet proving that not only do big girls need love, but they have dudes lining up willing to pay money just to look at that love. As far as I know Sammie has never done a professional photo shoot and I have never shot any girls who out weigh me but fuck that shit, it’s time all that changed.

Sammi is a fan of my site and when I ran into her at a Halloween party at Beauty Bar she grabbed me and made me take photos of her and her friend topless in the bathroom. I rarely refuse such requests. Since then we have been talking for ages about doing a shoot. Specifically I wanted to put her in just a lobster bib and put her with a fork and knife in front of a baby dressed as a lobster, but unfortunately the mother of the baby I had in mind left town before her baby daddy could let me use the kid for the shoot.  Probably for the best.

Sammi finally came over the other week and we ran over to my neighbors house, the same place I shot Crystal, and we took a bunch of photos of her naked.  It was pretty intense and most of you are going to have your fucking mind blown when you look at these photos.  And the dudes who love big girls… you are going to thank me for this shit.

One of the weirder South By Southwest events I have attended was the Tricky Kid party at Randy Palmer’s South Austin Gym. My friend Roy AKA Tricky Kid was looking for places to throw his SXSW showcase and this guy Randy Palmer reached out to him. Randy had wanted to do shows at his boxing gym for a while and figured SXSW was the perfect opportunity to get things going and let his space be used for free. Roy told him he would do the event at his gym if the bands could play in the actual boxing ring and Randy said yes and the event was on.

I got there a bit late and I all but missed the first band (Here Holy Spain) but the second band The Blind Pets were pretty fucking awesome. They sounded a lot like Mudhoney. One of the guys in the band told me that he had never listened to Mudhoney before they started the band but ever since people started bringing up the similarities he has become a huge fan. I didn’t think they were too derivative or anything and they rocked a lot so it was fun to see. They also helped set up the show which turned out to be not such an awesome thing in the end but they were a great band.

When I heard that The Death Set were going to play a show in a boxing ring I couldn’t stop thinking about how fucking amazing it would be if the show had 300 people there instead of 60. A boxing ring seems like the ultimate venue for a band like the Death Set who brings all their fans on to stage with them.  Even with the small crowd I knew things were going to get out of control. They were using the back line of the Blind Pets and as soon as the Death Set brought fans on stage the Blind Pets started freaking out. They made all the fans stand on the outside of the ring.  That didn’t last long. By their third or fourth song everyone was moshing in the ring and the Blind Pets frontman was losing it. Evidently Randy Palmer was not happy that people were possibly tearing up the ring and told the Blind Pets guy to get everyone the fuck off stage.  This quickly escalated and they eventually pulled the plug on the Death Set.  They were allowed to play if they got everyone out of the ring but the Death Set said fuck it and that was the end of that.

The next band was a metal band called The House Harkonnen. I don’t really get the appeal of metal like that but they had a ton of people really excited to see them.  A ton of people who were really upset when the cops showed up and finally shut the whole show down.  New Yorkers Wildstreet and special guest Moistboyz didn’t get to play and everyone was pissed.  Luckily for me it gave me the chance to head down to see the DFA’79 show which turned out to be one of the craziest moments of my SXSW.

But yeah, the show was really cool, but unfortunately it could have been a lot better. I want to build a venue with a boxing ring in it really badly now. It seems like nothing but good stuff could come from that.  Anyway, there are some pretty cool pictures of the madness.

THe first band I saw at South By Southwest was Peelander Z at Beauty Bar. It was totally accidental. I was sort of bar hopping on the Tuesday night before SXSW Music started and some people I met went to Beauty Bar so I followed them over there.  There was some hip hop DJ in the front and when I made my way out to the back there was just chaos. I pushed my way through the crowd and I saw a sign that just said “STEAK” on it.  I knew immediately what I was about to witness.

Peelander Z is the most insane Japanese band around which says a lot considering how weird the Japanese are.  They also happen to be one of the most fun bands everywhere.  I have seen them a bunch of times, but not in the last 5 or 6 years.  They might be even better now.  When I walked in they were nearing the end of their set where they hand over their instruments to members of the audience, pass out noise makers, set up bowling pins and throw a giant lobster man at the bowling pins.  Somehow this makes sense in the context of the band as weird as that sounds. You clearly need to check them out if you get the chance.

So as you should know by now I am in LA and one of the things I am very excited to do here is to go to Jessie Lee’s benefit thrown by the Darling House on Thursday. This is a big art show featuring a ton of amazing artists.  We did this same show in NYC at Beauty Bar and made a ton of money for Jessie Lee and sold a lot of art work.  Also the party was fucking crazy and I took some awesome pictures, you should check them out if you haven’t seen them yet.  I have four arts in this show and if you are in LA you can buy them each for $40. In fact ALL the art is $40! You can get work from big name artists for less than a bag of coke! Plus you will be helping out a rad girl.

I hung out with Jessie Lee last night for the first time since her accident and while she looks great can get around and take care of herself she still has a lot of brain damage that make it impossible for her to work and hard to deal with life. She has a lot of vision problems, she has a lot of social anxiety problems and she has only been able to sleep abour 4 hours at a time. She is actually going to be at the show tomorrow but only for an hour.  If you come and you don’t know her if you talk to her make it just a “hello” or something because she is having a lot of anxiety problems talking with strangers.  The doctors say she is going to fully recover but it could take a full year before she does so we have to do what we can to help.  Please donate some money and if you have made a donation please donate some more.  I know I am going to buy another print tomorrow…

Last night at Beauty Bar 20 erotic photographers came together led by JM Darling and Darling House to raise money to support our injured friend Jessie Lee. There were a ton of amazing photographers work on the walls and a ton of it sold.  My pictures were sort in the dark which is my excuse for only selling one print. I sold it right after I moved the lights so you could see my prints so I feel like my argument is somehow valid. I bought two photos myself a picture of my ex-girlfriend doing coke with a 400 pound black man taken by Bob Coulter and this picture taken by Lithium Picnic. Unfortunately for me someone walked off with the prints, hopefully accidentally, but I hope to get them back somehow.

The party was a ton of fun as you would expect from a party filled with nude models, burlesque dancers and way too many cameras. The night started off pretty tame and art show like but after a few burlesque numbers including some serious nudity from Stormy Leather and Madame Rosebud and a lot of booze people started getting wild.  I did a mini topless photo shoot with Burning Angel mom and party host Joanna Angel and Dastardly Dave posed for some shots with a sexy lady. There was various random nudity and making out and good times all around. I just wish Jessie Lee could have been well enough to make the trip.  I am sure when she gets better we can throw another party that she can get naked at too…

We will be at Beauty Bar Monday night from 8-11 PM and the event will be hosted by the amazing Joanna Angel who unfortunately was driving the car during Jessie’s terrible accident.  The cost of this event is only $5 and both the cover and part of the bar go to raise money for Jessie Lee.

This is a huge group of amazing photographers that I am honored to be a part of and we have all come together to help support a girl who has been a muse and a friend and I hope you guys can come out and help as well. It should be a very fun night.

My friend Brock is throwing a biweekly Saturday party at Beauty Bar Brooklyn. I had a friend in town so I brought him and a couple of girls over there. My friend Andy Cassette DJ’d as did Todd from Hussle Club and another girl who’s name I unfortunately forget. It was a good time, I saw old friends, met cute sisters, and Brock got everyone drunk. Too drunk perhaps.

I would tell you more about this but I got some really shitty news today that I will probably address tomorrow. For now I don’t really want to talk about it other than to say if I am not super responsive to emails or whatever other bullshit I have going on in my life I am sorry.

A few times every year I get out to the west coast… usually Vegas or Los Angeles.  Whenever I go I make an effort to meet up with as many nude models as I can when I am out there.  Shooting new girls is always the highlights of the trip.  I shoot a lot of Gods Girls since they are based in LA and a lot of Burning Angels because that’s my family but I shoot the random porn star, Suicide Girl or just random model who wants to shoot with me.

I just got back from a trip to LA where I shot about 10 shoots with a variety of girls. Starting last week I am posting two galleries every week from my trip. The goal is to get them up Mondays and Fridays but I will probably be off a bit. I decided to promote the new galleries by coming up with a page that lists all the galleries I have shot over the years of West Coast girls. Under their pictures will be their names, where I shot them and site affiliation if they have one.

I will be releasing the new ones on here as well as on the main page with a full write up.
