I photographed The Dirty Pearls for Rockstars and Strippers Magazine.  They are a tight band but I don’t really understand the whole hair metal retro thing.  I am not sure how serious these guys are about it.  Half the time they seem to be joking and half the time they seem really serious.  They are a good band, don’t get me wrong, but it sort of seems like they are just playing a cock rock band for Halloween.  Check them out and I’ll let you know when the magazine comes out.

I spent the hours before I went to Darkroom waking all around downtown NYC before I stumbled on a movie theater, watched a movie, and then walked from Union Square to Darkroom (roughly 3 aves and 20 blocks).  I was all alone and feeling pretty introspective and then suddenly I showed up at Darkroom where I knew half the people there and it sort of freaked me out.  I spent a good amount of time just sitting in the dark and then I just went outside and tried to talk to people one on one instead of in a party atmosphere.  I had the longest conversation I’ve ever had with Mike Nouveau… mostly about scooters and how I have never once used the bathrooms at Darkroom.  This is a really weird thing to me.  In the dozens of times I have been to Darkroom how could I have avoided their bathrooms?  I have never even taken naked pictures in there.  Weird.  After the party I did after hours on this girl I am crushing on’s house.  I met my ex’s ex for the first time.  That was sort of weird. I then tried to sleep in formentioned girls bed with her friend and her, but we couldn’t sleep so I went home ten AM.  I had taken my sleeping pills and was completely fucked up.  I tried to catch a cab but I failed at that so I went to McDonald’s and got two Egg McMuffins and an McGriddle and ate them on the train.  When I got home I was wide awake again so I took two more sleeping pills and jerked off to the fact that this girl I am actually into has no interest even kissing me, much less any thing more fun.  But I guess that is okay, and I am going on a date with her tomorrow.  Fun.  Sorry about the rant.  Here are the pictures.  I rate them about a 4.5 out of 10.

PS.  I am rebuilding my whole galleries so if the photo link doesn’t work at first it will.  If it is still not working by 10PM tonight we could be in trouble.  If it does work, all these images should be bigger.  So get excited.

PPS.  There is actually another girl I am sort of interested (although I don’t know her very well) in that was at Darkroom too last night, and the weird thing is they both have the same name.  I am not sure how I will deal with that if it becomes an issue in the future.  Sorry. Photos.

The other day I posted Gaskets footage from a practice they had in a barn before their show at SXSW two years ago.  Well here is some footage from that show mixed in with footage from the practice again.  The audio is a little weird, but what are you going to do.  At least it is something new from them.

I uploaded these a while ago but I never mentioned them on the main page cause they aren’t really important.  They are some old nudes that I did a long time ago for whatever reason that I just wanted on my site but had no where to put them.  Some of them are for old Suicide Girls sets I shot.  They are not so exciting.  See for yourself.  The only recent one is this one which I still shot almost a year ago. I am getting these photos up before I even go to bed.  Amazing.  I went back to Byte this month and it was equally as weird as last time.  I have so much respect for these people who get dressed up like this.  I would never have the balls or the presence of mind to do this.  For some reason my flash is blowing people out more than I want it to recently.   I have been playing around with dragging the shutter and such and I think some of my photos are suffering for it.  This party has so many people to shoot than I just hit people up quickly and moved on.  Because of this I didn’t get as good shots as normal.  I noticed the same thing the first time I shot Motherfucker.  I also took more vertical shots than horizontal ones for the first time ever.  That probably says something about the way these kids were dressed.  Anyway check out the shots.  I marked this gallery NSFW cause you probably don’t want to be looking at these at work… although theres not really any naked girls or anything.

Simian Mobile Disco spun last night at Robot Rock at the Highline Ballroom.  I went with my friend Keith who wasn’t really having the time of his life.  I was hanging out with him and I wasn’t really paying attention to shooting photos.  When he left I took a few good shots, but I left sort of early too.  I met some new people and hung out with some folks I don’t see that often.  I had some fun.  When I was saying good bye to this girl I turned to kiss her cheek and she turned and we ended up kissing on the lips in front of her boyfriend and then her friend started slapping me and it was really dramatic.  But I think no harm was done.  They were mostly laughing about it I think.  Woops.  I then went outside and texted everyone I knew to find something else to do, but no one texted me back including my ex who said she would hang out with me so I went home and stayed up watching Electra Glide in Blue.  Um, yeah, have some photos and stop listening to me ramble.

PS. I have heard about 0 feedback about my new layout… what do you guys think?

And when I say new… I mean first layout.  The old layout was just a template.  Holy fuck, have you ever seen such a pretty site?  We will be tweaking the site all week probably, with some new additions and such…  Just get excited.  Thanks most importantly to Adam for doing the layout and Thadd for implementing it.
