The Off Broadway Awards (The Obies) were held at Webster Hall last night and then there was a big gay after party.  The Village Voice had me cover the after party, which they sponsored, called Creative Block.  I also covered the burlesque show going on downstairs during the Obies as sort of a spill over event. I saw a bit of the actual award ceremony too, but it was pretty hectic and I couldn’t really hear the presenters in the back.  People were too busy enjoying the free Absinthe… that just happened to be presented by a former, and hopefully future, client Le Tourment Vert.  Village Voice superstar Michael Musto hosted the after party that had crazy circus themed acts, half naked male models as human easels and a robot bar tender.  It was one of the most bizzare parties I have ever attended and that is saying a lot.  These photos are NSFW for female and male (I think) nudity… so be careful, and don’t say I didn’t warn you..
