My friend Kristine just started bar tending at Hanger Bar in Alphabet City a few nights on Mondays. She asked her friend Anton Newcombe from Brian Jonestown Massacre to video DJ. For those who don’t know he has a reputation for being a little “hard to deal with“. Anyway, he was pretty nice to me and played some of the best music I have heard at a bar in a long time. He did sort of flip out at a girl for turning the music down and he got in my face a bit when I asked him if I could get one more picture right before I left. Other than that it was a pretty calm evening. He DJ’d using YouTube and nothing else. It was pretty great. These photos are not great, I think something is up with my flash, but here they are anyway.
