Contessa & Frog’s Birthday – 12.14.12
Friday night I headed over to the after spot 1040 Metropolitan for my girl Contessa Stuto’s birthday party. Contessa throws really good parties because she has a really weird mix of friends. She hangs out in the gay scene, the hip hop scene and the standard hipster nightlife scene. When she throws a party they all show up to some warehouse and a really weird, highly photogenic party rages until dawn. I got to the party around 2 and hung out for 90 minutes.
The cigarette smoke was getting to me a bit and I wanted to stop by Tutu’s to say happy birthday to Frog AKA Dances With White Girls. Earlier in the day, as a birthday present, I posted a naked picture of him on my Tumblr and he wasn’t pissed but he thought it would be funny if everyone thought he was pissed. He convinced me to start a fake fight with him and while I was jokingly shoving him up against a support beam in the basement of Tutu’s and someone threw a rocks glass at me. I have no idea who but I was fucking pissed and had a big welt on my head. I was going to go home but everyone was going back to 1040 so I sucked it up and went back.
I ended up leaving again at like 5:30 and I am sure the party went until 8. I had a damn good time despite the head wound. Tons of people performed and DJ’d and I am not even going to try to list them all but shout out’s to AK Murder, Prince Terry, WC Kids and DKDS.
