So there are a million sites making fun of hipsters and at least 30% of them are pretty funny. I mean let’s be reasonable, we are easy targets.

I loved sites like Blue States Lose, Last Nights Pity and of course Vice’s Dos/Don’ts (who I actually shoot for on occasion). Look At This Fucking Hipster seems to be the newest of these sites and I enjoy checking it out to see my friends get mocked. I think the first one of these that I can remember was Cliff Yablonski on Something Awful. It wasn’t hipsters, but it was the same sort of idea.

Any I had an idea. I want to start mocking people on my site. I think we deserve it and I think it will be a good way to bring some extra traffic to my site in a hilarious way. I know there are tons of people out there who hang out in the Dos/Donts comments and think they can do it better. I wanted to open this up to people on my site but then it would sort of ruin the surprise. So this page is slightly secret for now.

I am looking for somewhere between 1 and 5 people to find photos on my site and mock them. The idea goal would be to get 3-5 five posts a day between all the writers. I also want this to be mostly anonymous so that no one but me will get hate mail. I think pretty much anything goes as far as mocking, but it would be nice to keep racism/homophobia and general bigotry to a minimum. Other than that it is pretty much open season, at least until someone tries to kill me.

So if you are interested please send me an email at igor(at)drivenbyboredom.com with 10 photos from my site that you have mocked in one or two sentences. Also, please let me know what sort of time commitment you could give to the project. This isn’t paid or anything but clearly if it blew up some how and I started advertising there would be some sort of revenue share… but this is just a little off shoot for fun. I just want people to do it for the enjoyment of it or because they are full of hate. If you want to start a new email account to keep it anonymous you could do that. Otherwise, just hit me up.

Once I find a few people, I will set you up with a blog and a format to follow. Each person will have their own user name and login. I think the site is going to look pretty much like Driven By Boredom except defaced or something. I am sure I will come up with a URL for it or something. If I get people interested I will get on this ASAP. I know a few web designers who would love to mock this site via redesign…
