1/25/04 - New Layout Email Igor
I have a new layout.  Thanks to Tyne Studios.  I am not sure I like it any better than my last one, but it's new, so why not.  Let me know what you think.  I like the scroll bars.  

As far as my last post goes, Clark has fallen dramatically in the polls after not making a showing in Iowa, and it looks like Kerry is the man.  I guess Kerry would be my second choice, but I am not really happy with it.  Clark needs more national publicity, and that's what Iowa did for Kerry.  Whatever, it's only my future... I guess we can just deal with Bush for 4 more years... Jesus... A Kerry/ Clark ticket wouldn't be so bad, and would give Clark some experience.  I would love to see Kerry/ Clark go up against McCain in 2008.  

Anyway, I recently came across this site.  It is the home of Bard College's sketch comedy troop Olde English.  They have some video's that are so damn funny.  I recommend you at least download the Rap Video sketch, because its one of the funniest things I have ever seen.  After that, check out the Dead Puppies thing, and the Memento sketch if you are a fan of the movie.  The Comedians thing is pretty funny, especially if you are say, a Neil Hamburger fan.  Anyway, check that out.  

Lastly a call out to people.  The Gaskets and myself could be coming to your town.  Here are the dates of our spring break tour.  
March 12th - Raleigh, NC
March 13th - Atlanta, GA
March 14th - TBA
March 15th - New Orleans, LA
March 16th - Houston, TX (?)
March 17th - 20th - Austin, TX - SXSW
March 21st - TBA

Anyway, here's how you can help.  On the 14th we are looking for a show in Atlanta, Birmingham, AL, or New Orleans.  If you have any contacts or want us to play a party or something, let me know.  Also, we are looking for a better show in Houston and a show in Dallas or preferably Nashville on the 21st.  If you can help us with any of that, or a place for 4 people to sleep, please, please, let me know.  People really came through when we went to Boston and helped pay for the tour.  Hiring us to play a party or something would be fucking huge.  Oh, and be sure to check out the High Five Club and to call your local college radio station and ask them to play something off Big Fun, by The Gaskets.

I am pretty sure no one is going to get too excited by my endorsement, but Gen. Wesley Clark has earned just that.  I don't want to get any political arguments with anyone about this, so don't bother, all I am saying is that I am going to post some links, I want you to check them out, and decide for yourself.  One thing that I have to point out though, is most of my readership comes from college aged males.  One of the things Clark is going to do as president is to end the possibility of the draft.  Make sure you think about that.  He is going to end this war.  And he is going to make the rich pay their fair share, and give the poor tax breaks and on top of that he's a man you can trust, a man who has not been brainwashed by years of political life, and he's a man who can beat the hell out of George Bush.  To get you started, register to vote here .  Lastly, any of my fans from NH, get out there and vote, he needs your state.   This shit is important for your future, get involved.  Check out these links.

1/8/04 - Mission Statement.

Okay, more on my last post.  I have been accused of posting that as a means to get attention, as if my posting it, was a cry for sympathy or a statement of my failure with women.  That is not the case, while I have never had anything remotely resembling a healthy relationship with any sort of girl, I am not really looking for one.  I have been in love and I have had enough sex to last me for quite some time.  Anyone could be happy with that and I am.  This statement was more of an empowering thing than a complaint.  I am happy with it.

The real conversation I had with myself was about my general depression and how at every point in my life I have been unhappy despite what was going on in my life.  If things were going great, I was unhappy, when things are going terribly I am unhappy.  The only constant in my life is depression.  But is there anything wrong with that?  Should I be owed happiness?  Should anyone?  I came to the conclusion at that moment that I was not meant to be happy.  Life is not happy and I need to accept that. This acceptance is quite empowering.  Instead of being depressed about such a decision.  Because if you aren't searching for happiness, you can search for something else.  What that is, I am not quite sure, however I do know that if I could end my life knowing I had accomplished things I was truly proud of, it would be a better feeling then any momentary happiness I had during my life.  The first step to take in my search for doing something truly great or important, is to eliminate outside distractions.  I need to get rid of things that waste my time, and take energy away from my goals.  The biggest distraction in my life currently is the search for affection.  By cutting out my search for women I could have more free time to do something.  If only I could figure out what that something is.  Hopefully that will come in time.  And truthfully, if I do something productive, if I become successful, if I create something I am proud of or if I do something important, I am sure the girls will come. 

Lastly, this is a temporary situation, and if it doesn't show results, I could always go back to my misogyny and sexual preditorialism, if that is a word (my spell check says it is not).  Who knows, for now, less distractions, more productivity.  I need to be proud of something.  What do you think?

as of today, i have decided that girls are no longer in my best interest, that is not to say that in the future i will not continue my pursuit of women, it is only to say that for the time being i will not waste any unreasonable amount of time perusing or spending time with women for sexual or emotional pleasure.  productivity lies in the future.  i must accomplish something.
