It was Trash Yourself’s last night in town which was kinda sad but they played two fun songs and John DJ’d the early leg of the party.  After that Samuel French and Marshall Barnes held it down the turntables for the rest of the night.  I don’t love the shot from last night because I got a new mini-soft box for my flash.  I didn’t really like the look of it, I am going to stick with my pocket bounce I think, they are just so flimsy.  I also, while not sick anymore and feeling pretty tired later in the day.  I need to build back some strength or something.  It probably is not helpful when I stay out till 7 AM because I am helping my friends friend get her car out of the tow pound on a suspended license with no money in her bank account.  Some how it all worked out and then we got milk shakes.

Hey kids. I really want you to come out to Cain (27th between 10th and 11th) on Wednesday. I always want you to come out but this week is really special. My friends from Trash Yourself will be playing and it should be a blast. Get there by midnight. We will party all night.

Nextly I wanted to update you on my sickness front. Today was the first day that I felt reasonably okay. I laid in bed all day yesterday and I think that helped. Today I got some sun and I think that helped too. I am going to stay in tonight and try to get some more sleep and hopefully I will be back to photographing and updating tomorrow.  It is probably best I haven’t been blogging because it would have been about the NFL Draft, playoff hockey and the hours of Myth Busters I have been watching because I hadn’t left my apartment in 30 hours.

I plan on getting some nudes up tomorrow and going to Happy Endings, so I will see you then, and see you on Wednesday. Party forever.

Listen, I am sick and I shouldn’t have been out last night.  I am just going to put these Cain shot up and not write about them because I want to lay on my couch and try not to die.  I have to shoot for the Voice in 4 hours and I need to relax.

First things first: Yes, I wore a wetsuit to Cain.  This bondage model (Nyssa Nevers) I met at a porn convention was in town and came over to my place after shooting with Ellen Stagg.  We shot the day before (photos coming soon) and I invited her to Cain.  She was in Williamsburg so we split a cab.  Before we left she asked me if I had any clothes she could wear because she didn’t have time to change and wasn’t dressed to go out.  I jokingly suggested she wear one of the wetsuits I own.  My brother and I used to water ski when we were kids and this summer I found our wetsuits in a closet. Anyway, she told me she would wear it if I wore mine.  So we did, and it was amazing.  I may never wear anything else again.  Everyone kept rubbing me.  My dick was touched slightly more than I would have liked, but what can you do?

Okay, nextly, it was Jerold’s birthday so things were more out of control than normal.  He poured a bottle of champaign on me because I was in the wet suit and it would be fine… Unfortunately my camera was not wearing a wetsuit and is quite sticky.  Later someone poured champaign on him and again I was caught in the line of fire… fortunately I got some pretty good pictures out of it.  So, happy birthday Jerold… Speaking of birthdays, my little brother turned 26 today which makes me too fucking old for this shit.

The night was pretty crazy.  The gallery is not safe for work.  There was madness everywhere.  It was probably the most fun I have had at Playhouse yet, which says a lot considering that it is currently my favorite party in the city.  And usually when I am having a lot of fun I take great pictures and tonight was no exception.  There are easily a dozen that could have made the front page… I narrowed it down to a scant eight… And, no there aren’t any photos of me in my wet suit, you will have to find those somewhere else.

Do you guys think I over use ellipses or the word anyway more?  Anyway…

Back at Playhouse. I brought my friend Barry out again for some dancing. Good times were had as always. It was pretty packed… I met some cute Brazilian girls and some other kids and some such. Honestly I am trying to watch the Office right now and blogging during commercials so let’s just move on. Make sure you come out to Can next week for Jerlold’s birthday. Should be nuts.  These are just very slightly NSFW.

Dan Baxter has made another crazy, way too fun looking video documenting the Wednesday night party at Cain, Playhouse.  Playhouse is currently my favorite party of the week and if anyone wants to come out let me know.  Just watch this video and you will see for yourself how crazy it is.  Look for shots of people in Driven By Boredom T-Shirts and DBB Tattoos because one of the nights Dan shot was my 8th Anniversary party there.  So this has to be my favorite video by him so far because it makes me look good.

Also, on my fucked up computer front, I have a appointment with a “Genious” at the Mac store tonight, so hopefully I will be back in business soon.

Let’s take a little break from the SXSW coverage.  I gotta get up the shots from Cain somewhere…

I have to say when I got to Playhouse I didn’t really feel like shooting.  I had just returned home from Texas and after shooting nearly 6000 photos in 5 days I was not looking forward to bringing my camera.  Luckily my camera agreed with me.  After I took about 150 shots my flash decided to die on me.  I didn’t charge my batteries because I had not yet unpacked. They were charged in Texas, but clearly the 2 days uncharged did them in.  I had two sets but the second set was completely dead.  I spent some time shooting with just the on camera flash, so you will notice a difference towards the end of the gallery.  But the whole thing gave me the chance to do something I don’t normally do… hang out.  I actually got to talk to some people and I had a ton of fun.  I even got this cute girls number.  She put her number in my phone as “The cute blonde girl you met at Cain so don’t forget”.  I thought that was kinda brilliant.  Everything dance party oriented is a bit slow during WMC, but Cain was still jumping despite the lower than average turn out.  It doesn’t beat being in Miami for the fest, but Playhouse was fun as hell on Wednesday. Plus despite not shooting as much as normal I still got some great shots.  Check out the photos right here.

If you have been to Cain on a Wednesday in the last couple months you might have seen Dan Baxter hovering around with his video camera. He has been making videos from his collected footage. This is his second in a trilogy I believe. (First one is here.) Evidently the next one has a lot of shots of my anniversary party. This footage makes my life seem really fun I think. I shoot this party every week, but I am not sure I take a lot of time to enjoy it. It is a pretty crazy scene. Check out my photos from Playhouse and come out tonight.
