Our old friend and DBB favorite, Burning Angel Jessie Lee moved to LA and for some insane reason actually seems to enjoy it out there. She is doing great after the car accident that nearly killed her and she came back to NYC to celebrate her birthday with her old New Yorker friends.

The party was of course held at Trash at Webster Hall and there was all sort of madness in store for her there. There was a pretty wild burlesque show featuring Burning Angel cap’n Joanna Angel doing terrible things on stage dressed as a sexy teacher. Joanna’s babelicious sister Sarah Screams did a strip tease while singing opera which straight blew people’s minds and a Michele Bachmann supporter who’s name I unfortunately cannot remember came out of the closet in the most erotically homosexual of ways on stage. All of these things were wonderful and you must see them no matter which way you swing.

On top of that my friend Loki was hosting and she is a total babe and I rolled to the party with another Burning Angel Aria Rae. Hopefully in the near future I will have sets of both of those girls on my site but who really knows…

It has arrived. My last day in LA. I have had some crazy times but I am very much ready to get back to NYC… even if it is snowy and cold. I shot a lot of naked girls on this trip but only one event.  That event is this event which coincidentally also is all about naked girls. Let’s begin.

As you know my friend Jessie Lee was in a very bad car accident.  I have done a few benefits for her but the most successful one was an art show in NYC put on by the Darling House.  They got a ton of amazing photographers together and sold really cheap art to benefit Jessie Lee. When they booked the New York one they also decided to do an LA one and I just happened to be in LA at the time of the show so I got to go!

The LA version of the benefit was held at a very cool space called Studio Servitu. It’s right down town and can be rented for events and photo shoots and that sort of thing but they were kind enough to donate use of the space for the show. They tend to make the events they do there kinda exclusive and maybe a bit mysterious so they weren’t allowing photography. Fortunately I worked it out with them and sort of became the staff photographer for the night.

The show was a lot of fun and I got to talk to a number of artists and models and friends of Jessie. Joanna Angel hosted again and had some very touching words to say about Jessie. There was a sword swallower and burlesque dancers and free pizza! It was all pretty amazing.  I sold a few of my photos and I even talked Kimberly Kane into shooting with me because she liked one of my shots so much.  I told her I would give her a copy of it if she took some photos with me.  She is a total babe and the pictures came out great so that was a pretty big win.

But the highlight of the night was that Jessie Lee actually showed up to the event.  She only stayed for an hour and a half or something but everyone was so glad to see her. She hasn’t really gone out at all since the accident so it was great to see her at the show.

Over all it was a great event.  Thanks for the Darling House for putting it on, my fellow photographers, Crash and Jane Jett for lending us the space and everyone who came and bought some stuff.  (I personally bought a Holly Randal print that is pretty bad ass.)

So as you should know by now I am in LA and one of the things I am very excited to do here is to go to Jessie Lee’s benefit thrown by the Darling House on Thursday. This is a big art show featuring a ton of amazing artists.  We did this same show in NYC at Beauty Bar and made a ton of money for Jessie Lee and sold a lot of art work.  Also the party was fucking crazy and I took some awesome pictures, you should check them out if you haven’t seen them yet.  I have four arts in this show and if you are in LA you can buy them each for $40. In fact ALL the art is $40! You can get work from big name artists for less than a bag of coke! Plus you will be helping out a rad girl.

I hung out with Jessie Lee last night for the first time since her accident and while she looks great can get around and take care of herself she still has a lot of brain damage that make it impossible for her to work and hard to deal with life. She has a lot of vision problems, she has a lot of social anxiety problems and she has only been able to sleep abour 4 hours at a time. She is actually going to be at the show tomorrow but only for an hour.  If you come and you don’t know her if you talk to her make it just a “hello” or something because she is having a lot of anxiety problems talking with strangers.  The doctors say she is going to fully recover but it could take a full year before she does so we have to do what we can to help.  Please donate some money and if you have made a donation please donate some more.  I know I am going to buy another print tomorrow…

So during the Pretty Hardcore party for Jessie Lee the Bombshell Brats showed up in force.  They brought six girls to help raise money for Jessie Lee. As I mentioned before they gave lap dances and posed for pictures to solicit donations.  But what they also did was provide me with really fun photo shoots throughout the night. I shot all six of them naked in the Angels & Kings bathroom one at a time and the I gathered them all together for a grand finale where I shot all of them in one picture. It was a blessed occasion.  The girls included Indigo Augustine, Annika and Missy Starr & Sammie Sixx all of whom I have shot before (click the links!) but they also brought Roggie who I have wanted to shoot for ages and a girl named Mia Rebel who I had never met before.  By the end of the night the drinks were flowing and I did one extra shoot with Mia and Sammie that got a bit out of hand… It was pretty crazy. I’ll have pictures from that another day but many of those pictures are not suitable for a classy site such as Driven By Boredom…

Sorry I have been not updating recently. I have been in Miami as you probably gathered. It’s hard to update when you are doing crazy things, not sleeping and have rare access to poor internet. Friday we are going to be doing another party for Jessie Lee. Again, read up on what happened here if you aren’t up on it yet. We raised a ton of money at the Darling House art show for her which was awesome and we are going to raise some more for her this week. She just found out that she might not have full brain function for a full year so we really need to help her stay afloat while she gets healthy! And on top of helping Jessie out this party is going to be fucking fun.

The party is this Friday at Angels & Kings which is not exactly a spot I spend a lot of time at, but Jessie loves the place and everyone there loves her.  Bombshell Brats is hosting the party and bringing a ton of girls with them who I am sure will be getting naked all night. They are doing live performances and they are doing $10 lap dances with the girls and you can get your photos taken with them for $3. I will do my part and try to get them all naked in the bathroom. Last night at Beauty Bar 20 erotic photographers came together led by JM Darling and Darling House to raise money to support our injured friend Jessie Lee. There were a ton of amazing photographers work on the walls and a ton of it sold.  My pictures were sort in the dark which is my excuse for only selling one print. I sold it right after I moved the lights so you could see my prints so I feel like my argument is somehow valid. I bought two photos myself a picture of my ex-girlfriend doing coke with a 400 pound black man taken by Bob Coulter and this picture taken by Lithium Picnic. Unfortunately for me someone walked off with the prints, hopefully accidentally, but I hope to get them back somehow.

The party was a ton of fun as you would expect from a party filled with nude models, burlesque dancers and way too many cameras. The night started off pretty tame and art show like but after a few burlesque numbers including some serious nudity from Stormy Leather and Madame Rosebud and a lot of booze people started getting wild.  I did a mini topless photo shoot with Burning Angel mom and party host Joanna Angel and Dastardly Dave posed for some shots with a sexy lady. There was various random nudity and making out and good times all around. I just wish Jessie Lee could have been well enough to make the trip.  I am sure when she gets better we can throw another party that she can get naked at too…

As I have mentioned my friend and Burning Angel model Jessie Lee was injured in a car accident last Friday. She broke her neck but from what I understand she is going to be fine and not paralyzed or anything but clearly she has a long road to recovery. Joanna Angel was driving the car but fortunately she and the other passenger were fine. Also fortunately is that Joanna has insurance and presumably that insurance will cover Jessie’s medical bills.  But what it will not cover is all of the time that Jessie Lee is going to be out of work while she recovers from her injuries. I cannot imagine it is easy to be a dancer when you have a fused spine and a neck brace.  So to help her out a lot of us are doing what we can to raise money for her.

I have known Jessie for about three years and he and I have become pretty good friends over that time. She is a hateful shit talking bitch and I am a fucking asshole creep and despite this, or probably because of it we get along very well.  Seriously, I love that girl and we need to help her get back on her feet. She’s a rad girl and has been naked on this site more times than I can count so you guys must love her too. I mean seriously, how could you not?

So I am donating prints to an auction and to a group show in order to raise money for her, but I will let you know about that stuff when we get to it. At some point in my life I met a guy named Matt who is one half of a nightlife photo blogging team out of Chicago called Darkroom Demons. Matt eventually introduced me to his partner Tyler who introduced me to his friend Brad when I was in LA. Back in NYC Brad introduced me his friend visiting from Chicago.
