The fifth annual Drop Dead Gorgeous zombie beauty pageant was held at Beauty Bar on Sunday but this year it was holiday themed. Professional zombie wrangler Doug Sakmann hosted dressed as a zombie elf and Michael T co-hosted using his normal holiday cheer. Evidently the blood wet t-shirt part of the contest was canceled due to them still trying to clean blood off the walls at Beauty Bar after last year’s total fucking insanity, but there was still a lot of gore to go around.

The contest involves three parts. There is a question and answer part to introduce the girls followed by a kinda underwhelming lingerie contest. The contest then ends with a brain eating contest of course. Each round is scored out of a total of 5 points by a four person panel of judges.  The judges were my friend and dominatrix Goddess Shay, Our Lady of Perpetual PMS from the Gorgeous Ladies of Blood Wrestling, Jessica Rajs from Gorgeous and Gory and Steve Dash who played Jason in Friday The 13th 2.

Wait a second… can we talk about how this event is called Drop Dead Gorgeous and features two judges that run things involving the word gorgeous?  There is absolutely nothing gorgeous about anything going on with this event… Also I have no idea how to spell the word gorgeous so I have to spell check it every single time. Just typing this all is very trying. Moving on…

Anyway, this green chick with giant boobs won and everyone went home bloody. Huzzah.

I cover most of the NYC Zombie Crawl events because my buddy Doug Sakmann runs the things. He also does Strip For Pain, makes porn with Burning Angel and then does totally legit shit like film festivals and commercials. It’s been well documented that I love the dude, but sometimes his events can be a bit much for me.

I hate being sticky and he always smells like fake blood. It’s made with syrup and every time I smell pancakes I think of Doug and his blood. After the Dolphins lost on Sunday I had no interest in doing ANYTHING much less going to Beauty Bar to get covered in fake blood for some sort of insane beauty pageant.  But Doug and his right hand woman Autumn yelled at me for not coming and then my friend Darenzia was hosting and she gave me shit and I hadn’t seen Beauty Bar owner Mike Stewart in ages and Michael T was MCing and Erica Starr produced the whole thing and I knew I would get crazy pictures so the pressures over came me and I relented and got in my borrowed car and I drove to the East Village and pulled my camera out. (How’s that for a run on sentence?)

The Beauty Pageant started out slow and I missed most of the first round so I don’t even really know what was going on but they narrowed the field down to a handful of girls.  They took a break in between rounds and I said hello to everyone and got pulled into the bathroom with my favorite fat naked chick Sammie Sprinkles. I don’t think I had ever seen boobs that big in real life, so I was pretty pumped to shoot them. Round two consisted of girls eating weird eyeball and intestine food and telling the crowd what their favorite zombie movie is. They were all wrong.  Let’s go to the list:

Moving on…

The third and final round of the Zombie Beauty Pageant was the bloody t-shirt contest. It was like a wet t-shirt contest except instead of water (or Faygo) the girls were covered in fake blood.  It was totally insane and horrific. It looked like their had been a mass execution. Beauty Bar will never be the same.

Ultimately, Suicide Girl and burlesque performer Bettina won and everyone went home completely fucking sticky and smelling like a Waffle House.  The end.

The NYC Zombie Crawl returned to Brooklyn on Sunday. Held every Memorial Day weekend for the better part of a decade I feel like I have photographed this madness dozens of times… but maybe that’s because there is also the Manhattan version of the crawl in October, plus special events like movie premieres, zombie beauty pageants and even zombie raves. I have photographed so many NYC Zombie events that I want to do a book of this stuff quickly to cash in on the zombie craze before people finally get sick of zombies. I mean the Walking Dead has to end eventually right?

Anyway, the crawl started out at Trash Bar in Williamsburg, headed to McCarren Park to harass kickball playersa, then over to Bar Matchless for the insane after party. This year the zombies got stopped by the cops and for some reason they were totally reasonable. After pulling several hundred zombies over, they just redirected them up Bedford Ave instead of Driggs. Despite the fact that zombies were jumping on cars and stopping busses all the cops asked was that we walk with the flow of traffic. They then shut down all of Bedford as we walked to the park. It was sort of amazing considering the zombie crawl had no permits or any sort of permission to be doing this madness.

So I gotta get ready to leave town again tomorrow so I am gonna just leave you with these pictures, but I will be back before I bounce with some wild photos from the after party. So come back ASAP.

So you saw all the pictures from the Brooklyn Zombie Crawl I posted yesterday, and now you get to see the madness that was the after party at Public Assembly.  The second half of these pictures are pretty bad because I got really really drunk.  It was my birthday and at some point I had about 7 shots in 20 minutes and I pretty much lost it after that. I woke up with a ton of bruises all over my right leg, a cut ankle and several bite marks. I have no idea how any of that happened but I am going to assume at least some of it had something to do with crowd surfing during the Misfits cover band Ghouls Night Out.

The whole thing was insane with blood wrestling, zombie comedians, a NSFW zombie beauty pageant and a much more NSFW edition of Doug Sakmann’s Strip For Pain (thanks to Sammi Sprinkles) and lots of PBR. These photos are out of order because I took 10,000 photos in the last month or two so the count on my camera reset. So the second half is first. Yeah.

This thing was a bloody mess. Doug Sakmann was doing the make up for the girls in the Zombie beauty pageant and he was spraying fake blood over everyone. I didn’t shoot every well, everything was a bit under exposed, but I got a bunch of half naked girls eating brains, so that’s pretty great. I actually took photos of this one guy that is so gross I am not even going to post it on below. If you you want to vomit, check out the gallery with the rest of the photos.  Oh by the way Bobby Steele from the Misfits and The Undead was one of the judges which was very cool. Yeah.

Sammi Sprinkles does not care that you think she’s fat.  Home girl embraces that shit and makes it work for her. Sammi makes money as a cam girl getting naked for random dudes on the internet proving that not only do big girls need love, but they have dudes lining up willing to pay money just to look at that love. As far as I know Sammie has never done a professional photo shoot and I have never shot any girls who out weigh me but fuck that shit, it’s time all that changed.

Sammi is a fan of my site and when I ran into her at a Halloween party at Beauty Bar she grabbed me and made me take photos of her and her friend topless in the bathroom. I rarely refuse such requests. Since then we have been talking for ages about doing a shoot. Specifically I wanted to put her in just a lobster bib and put her with a fork and knife in front of a baby dressed as a lobster, but unfortunately the mother of the baby I had in mind left town before her baby daddy could let me use the kid for the shoot.  Probably for the best.

Sammi finally came over the other week and we ran over to my neighbors house, the same place I shot Crystal, and we took a bunch of photos of her naked.  It was pretty intense and most of you are going to have your fucking mind blown when you look at these photos.  And the dudes who love big girls… you are going to thank me for this shit.
