On Saturday February 8, 1997 I reached a epiphany in my life. I figured out the answers to many of my problems, as well as a new way of looking at things. I have since then tried to explain my ideas, however I was only mocked and treated like a fool. I have decided to explain my ideas on paper as best I can, but it is still hard to explain. My ideas are rough and I would love any responses you can give me.
“I found the problem” I exclaimed excitedly. I was sulking in my own sorrow, sitting on the floor of a noisy arcade. I had just come up with the revelation of a life time. I realized that life was about the balance and struggle for power. The key idea to my revelation is the idea that one person should not have emotional power over another. Friendship is a two way street. This seems like an obvious conclusion, but on trying to explain excitedly my ideas to friends, I developed a formula for my ideas to follow. Before you read the questions you must remember a few things:
1. You in your own mind must realize you are equal, if not better than everyone else.
2. The problems you answer MUST be personal problems that YOU can do something about.
3. This is not a solution to a problem. It is only a way to understand the problem better.
Questions
Question 1. What is the problem?
Question 2. Why is that a problem?
Question 3. What can YOU do about the problem?
Question 4. What is the most direct solution to the problem?
Question 5. Why won’t that solution work?
This was a personal revelation, it works for me, but it has its problems. Try not to ask questions like “How can I end world Hunger?” or “Why am I reading this paper?” And remember in any relationship, if the friendship is not mutual the relationship is not meant to be. Go on with your life. because it is your life. You do not have to prove anything to anyone, however you can always try.
