Boozey is a pretty cool girl. I mean anyone who likes Fucking Bullshit and is down to get naked on a train has to be reasonably rad. She came over to my place around 1am and we walked over to the J Train near my place. We got on the very last car and there was one person on it. Amazingly he got off at the next stop and we had the seven minutes it takes for the J train to cross from Brooklyn into Manhattan to shoot a bunch of naked photos. She had to get undressed and dressed too so really we had about 5 minutes to do a whole shoot.  Fortunately I came up shooting naked girls in bathrooms in the time it takes before someone starts banging on the door.  I know how to shoot quick.

We banged these out while people watched from the other car got off and took the train back. It was pretty crowded on the return trip so we weren’t able to get anything else. I think we got some great shots although I am sure given another seven minutes we could have gotten some even better images. But it was cold and we were tired so we called it a night.

Fast forward four years an I once again became a die hard Giants fan if only for one day. I started out my night at Tammany Hall because my friend Dimitry was doing a party there and it seemed like a good place to be but when the Giants scored and there was barely a round of applause I realized that watching football with hipsters was a mistake and I made my way up to Murray Hill to watch with the frat boy types. My Dolphins club, Dolfans NYC meets every week at Third & Long on 35th and 3rd Ave so this seemed like an ideal place to watch the game… and it was. It was 90% Giants fans with a small contingent of Dolphins fans in there for a good mix.

When the Giants won the place went nuts. The bar threw on New York New York and I sang with everyone and started hugging and high fiving like I was a Giants fan since birth. When it was getting close to a Giants victory I grabbed my camera and started shooting. After signing Frank Sinatra (and Jay-Z’s Empire State of Mind) with the crowd at Third & Long I made my way down Third Ave shooting the Giants fans partying in the street. I missed as many shots as I took because I was having so much fun. (I even missed a shot of a cop tackling a guy throwing a trash can witch pretty much ruined my night from that point on.) By the time I made it down to the Lower East Side the partying had subsided and I took the train home. It was a great night and I am so, so glad everyone in Boston cried themselves to sleep last night.

Imagine telling your kids about how you went to see the relaunching of the Glamdammit party at Grand Victory and how you saw the greatest performance in music history. It’s a moment that will go down in rock and roll lore and you were there. Wow. I almost envy you because I will never be able to see myself perform. I sometimes cry myself to sleep at night thinking about how great I am as a punk rock front band and no matter what I do I can never fully experience myself from the point of view of an audience member. I die inside knowing I am going to miss the very performance that you can see for FREE THIS SATURDAY AT 10PM at Grand Victory.

So yeah, you need to come tomorrow. We go on at 10pm. The doors open at 9:30 and you want to be on time because you do not want to miss this fucking brilliance. We open for the Brats who were late 70′s NYC punk legends influencing bands like the Ramones and such.  Plus the theme of the party is Jetboy Jetgirl which is a fucking amazing song about consensual gay pedophilia from the point of view of the child done best by the Damned. Good times.

The man behind the name Sailor Jerry was Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins who revolutionized tattooing and designed thousands of what are now classic tattoo designs. Anyone who wanted one of them could come by the shop and set up an appointment and get tattooed by one of these amazing tattoo artists.

Aside from a ton of bar tenders, hotel staff and X Games fans Hold Fast hosted a few notable people who got some SJ ink. A hilarious BMX biker named Mike “Hucker” Clark came by with BMX legend Tim “Fuzzy” Hall and got his first ever tattoo. He had such a good time that he was constantly in the shop hanging out with us. The next day he signed a huge sponsorship deal with Red Bull and seemed to be having the best weekend of his life. I reached out to folks on Twitter and found out that former The Pack member Stunnaman was in town with Trouble Andrew performing a few hotels away. Stunnaman came by and got this sick pharaoh tattoo and then came back a day later with Trevor from Trouble Andrew who got inked as well. I was actually on my way back when they came by again but I got shots of Stunnaman first tattoo. We also had two members of AWOLNATION come by. They were playing a show at the base of the mountain and got matching ship tattoos to commemorate both their travels and their hit song Sail.

The most legendary icon to get tattooed was of course the hero of men that is Igor from Driven By Boredom AKA me. I got my third Sailor Jerry tattoo when I convinced Preston to tattoo a rooster chasing a pig to my leg.  In nautical lore pigs and chickens are the only animals to survive a ship wreck so sailors would tattoo the animals to their feet for good luck. I got mine on my leg instead because drowning at sea is not really one of my top fears at the moment….

Anyway, it was a great time staying in an amazing hotel in Aspen and hanging out with rad people all day. I didn’t get to see any actual X Games but it was fucking cold outside… and besides ESPN was on in the hotel room. I can’t wait till the next Sailor Jerry pop up tattoo shop event I get to shoot in March at SXSW!

We decided to just park my rental car and walk around and try to open doors and perhaps find a parking garage we could get onto. We finally found a textile factory that had a mall on the bottom floor that was open. We walked around and it was basically a sweat shop on the upper floors and groups of little latino kids were just playing by themselves. I personally wouldn’t leave my four year old to play on an escalator but what the fuck do I know… We climbed back stairways until we got to the roof. When we got on it we were bummed to find out that there were tons of people parked up there and walking around. We pretended like we had a reason to be there and went back down the way we came.  We were about to give up when we found a stairwell that seemed blocked off. There was a cone in front of the door to the roof so we figured no one would use it. The only problem was that we were clearly visible from the street if anyone just bothered to look up.

We banged the set out in 10 minutes and took some awesome shots. Brooklyn Lee is super hot and not afraid to get dirty or get caught. She was covered in black dirt which looked awesome with the beautiful light and the cute white outfit she picked out. It was a great quick shoot and we got away with out getting arrested which was probably a good thing since the next day we went to Vegas for the AVN Awards where she ended up winning the award for Best New Starlet (as well as several other awards). It would not have been awesome if she was in jail for that…

So congrats to Brooklyn Lee on the huge AVN win and congrats to everyone else because you get to look at a bunch of fun NSFW photos of her for free.

The show was hosted by Dave Attell with Bree Olson and Sunny Leone and it included an acrobatic show from Belladonna and a hip hop performance from Too $hort that was the highlight of the show. The awards were not without amazing technical difficulties that ended up making the whole thing pretty hilarious.  I had a great time plus the three major female awards were won by girls I have photographed.  My homegirl Bobbi Starr won the big prize, Female Performer of the Year.  EDM fan and twitter assassin Jessie Andrews took home Best Actress and a girl I just shot last week named Brooklyn Lee took home Best New Starlet. I was pretty happy for them all. Jessie’s movie Portrait of a Call Girl won a bunch of awards including best picture as well.

I was shooting the awards for all the Village Voice Media papers including the Voice, LA Weekly, SF Weekly, Miami New Times, Houston Press, Denver West World and a bunch of others… so you might see these shots all over the damn place. Plus I was shooing for AVN as well so they gave me full access to run around and shoot whatever I want so I got some pretty awesome shots of everyone before, during and after the show.

Last Wednesday Hunter Moore and isanyoneup.com threw an AVN Launch party at the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay. If you don’t know who Hunter or his website is you should probably google it. It’s pretty horrible but also hilarious. Somehow no one tried to fight Hunter and everyone had a good time. I met some Gods Girls who wanted me to take some naked photos of them so we went in a back room and shot a bunch of NSFW photos of them and Hunter. Good times.

This is Alesandra. I met her through the legendary Whitty Titty. She is an Inked Magazine cover girl and a total babe. We were going to shoot a long time ago but then she went and got giant new boobs and we had to wait until they healed.  Well they are healed and we took a bunch of photos in her bedroom.  She wanted to shoot in some old band shirt so I brought a bunch of mine over. I also brought my favorite shirt ever which is a Jessie Jackson 1984 presidential campaign t-shirt that I got in a thrift store more than a decade ago.

Last night I shot the first and only party I will probably shoot in LA. My friends from Overthrow are out in LA now and doing a weekly Sunday party called Lil Death at a spot called One Eyed Gypsy.  I needed something to give to the LA Weekly this week and this seemed perfect. Oddly enough One Eyed Gypsy used to be called Bordello and it was the location of the first party I ever shot for the LA Weekly.

The party was fun and there were babes and some punk rock kids and some nudity and a fight which is pretty much all you can ask for a party. I would talk more about it but I gotta go eat lunch before I can shoot two more girls today before it gets dark. Good times. These pics are slightly NSFW thanks to a girl who randomly pulled her boobs out for me which I appreciated and gave her a drink ticket for.

The party was crazy packed and I sort of kept getting shoved into corners but there were a bunch of hot tattooed babes there and a bunch of Mishka people there so I did work talked to the Mishka kids and got Alesandra and Kathryn naked in the bathroom. It was pretty ideal. The party was fun but there were like 50 photographers there so I got the fuck out and realized it was only like 10:30pm so I went to Warhorse with a friend of mine that I had not seen since the mid ’90s.  It was the worst movie I have seen this decade.

So yeah I am headed to LA tomorrow and this site is probably gonna pretty much just turn into a porn site for a while with a bunch of naked chicks and then I go to Vegas and shoot porn parties and stuff.  So if you come here for the nudity you are in luck, if you come here for hip NYC nightlife you might wanna come back in February cause I am gone for three weeks.  Also I am gonna be doing daily updates on my Tumblr and a lot of stuff on Instagram so you might wanna follow that stuff if you can follow that stuff. So things have been a bit slow around here but for good reason.  I have been busting my ass organizing my life and working on projects that will hopefully make everything awesome in the very near future.  So let’s break down the exciting shit coming up for Driven By Boredom.

1) Wild Adventures. I am going on a three week trip that should bring some crazy fucking photos to the site. I am going to LA to shoot a bunch of naked girls, Vegas to shoot an isanyoneup.com party and the AVN Awards, then back to LA and the finally to Aspen to shoot the fucking Winter X-Games.  Expect a LOT of amazing content coming soon.

2) Driven By Boredom 4.0. I put a down payment on getting this site finally redesigned properly. This site has out grown it’s design and by March things should be a lot cleaner and a lot more functional. As far as you guys should be concerned the galleries will work properly, mobile viewing will be greatly improved and there is going to be a secondary blog which will make it easier to do little updates daily without moving the quality posts off the front page. On top of that the site is going to be much improved on my end making my job easier and improving boring things like SEO and social networking integration.

3) DBB.TV. I can’t give away too much here but there is finally going to be a proper video component to my website and it is going to launch with the new site design. Right now I have to mini web shows in development and hopefully I will have a few episodes of a third show by the time we launch.  The shows are going to be really simple things that I can keep up with without spending too much of my time on it so don’t expect anything too crazy but they should be a fun change of pace for the site.

4) Love Me When I’m Gone. Although this isn’t really anything most of you care about I have been busting my ass working on the tribute album to my deceased friend Ross Harman. Everything is done on it and I am going to be releasing the album in late February. It has been taking up a TON of my time and will continue to do so for a little bit longer but it’s a big deal for me and will lead to things you might care more about like…

5) A Web Store. With this record coming out and this new design in place I am going to be relaunching a web store. I built one a long time ago but never really pushed it but with the launch of the new site the store will be featured into the design.  You will be able to buy a bunch of stuff including DBB T-shirts, stickers buttons and tote bags as well as other stuff like the tribute record, Fucking Bullshit t-shirts, and prints. Plus other things I have created over the years that I have in boxes in my apartment like The Gaskets merch and some of my friends projects that I have worked on.

Anyway, there are also a few other things going on that I can’t really talk about yet but just know that even though things are a little slow around here right now there is A LOT of magical stuff coming. I hope you guys are at least 15% as excited about this stuff as I am… Cause I am pretty fucking psyched about all of it.  See you guys tomorrow.
