When I was in Vegas in January I met a French adult actress named Lou Charmelle. She was living in LA and we talked about taking photos some time. I was in LA a month later and I hit her up. Unfortunately she was getting ready to move and she was trying to shoot a bunch of video content before she left town so she was too busy to shoot. The next day I drove out to the Valley to shoot one of my favorite models, Lily LaBeau.  When I got there she texted me and told me that she couldn’t let me in right away because her roommate was shooting a porn scene in the living room.  Ten minutes later it was over and I came up to the apartment. Much to my surprise her roommate was Lou Charmelle.

After Lily and I finished shooting (photos coming soon!) Lou was just hanging out naked in the living room waiting for another guy to come over to shoot another scene. I suggested we try to do a photo shoot really quickly while she was waiting and she was game. She threw some underwear on and I took a bunch of pictures of her on her couch. The whole shoot took less than 20 minutes. Fortunately the light was lovely and Lou is a fantastic model so we got some shots I am really happy with. I don’t think I realized how great they were until I edited them on Monday months after we shot.

Sunday night Comedy Central premiered Hannibal Buress’ first hour long stand up special “Hannibal Buress Animal Furnace”. Hannibal decided to throw a party at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn to celebrate the special.

The sold out party opened up with Hannibal hosting an amazing stand up show. Amy Schumer opened up and although I had never seen her before she absolutely killed it. My boy Donald Glover went on after her and did what he said was his first stand up set in like nine months. He was brilliant as always and talked a little about his role on season two of Girls.  I mention this only so I can plug my cameo on Girls next episode. I play “Mustache Guy”. Get excited. After Donald Morgan Murphy came up and I have had a fake crush on her for like the last 7 years. I saw her about a month before I moved to NYC and I’ve run into her a half dozen times since and she is always fucking hilarious. Aziz Ansari headlined the comedy show and proved why he is one of the biggest comedians to come out of the NYC downtown comedy scene. Years ago, before Aziz was on TV or hanging with Kanye I think a lot of people knew he was going to make it. He would kill it every time he hit the stage and I think he’s only gotten better and better. I was close to crying during his set.

After the comedy show Hannibal showed a documentary he made leading up the taping of his special. I was running around a little bit while they showed it but the parts I saw were funny and at times touching. The documentary is a special feature of the Animal Furnace DVD and is going to be available online.  After the documentary screened Hannibal finally played his Comedy Central special. Hannibal is one of the funniest comics in New York and Animal Furnace was fantastic. People had been standing up for hours before the special even started and everyone was glued to the screen watching and laughing their asses off.

Sunday just happened to be the premier of The Eric Andrew Show on Adult Swim as well and Hannibal is the co-host so at 12:30am he played that live. Adult Swim is known for their insane programing but the Eric Andrew show is one of the weirdest things I have ever seen. It reminds me of the Tom Green Show before Tom Green was om MTV. It is filmed like a cable access show and is bizarrely funny.

Lastly the homies Ninjasonik closed out the night with a live performance. Most people there came to see comedy and had been standing up for nearly five hours and bounced before the Ninjas went on but there was still a good group of friends and fans left and they put on a great show with guest  spots from Johnny Nelson and Starcity.

Overall I cannot tell you how psyched I was that Hannibal thought of me to shoot his party. He even tipped me (he was possibly drunk) but I would have shot this show for free. Despite it being a really long night it was one of the better events I have been to this year. So go buy Hannibal’s awkwardly named special or just watch it however one might go about doing such a thing. I assure you it is funny.

On Thursday night Tattoo Culture in Williamsburg held an art opening called Ladies Ladies that features the art work of all female tattoo artists. I looked at the list of artists and realized three of my tattoo artists were in the show. Tattoo Culture is a short walk from my house so I had to stop by. Tattooing is an industry dominated by men but due to some strange coincidences I have been tattooed by five women and although I have been tattooed by more men the women make the bulk of the art on my body.

Katie Davis and Betty Rose, both in the show, tattooed everything on my left arm and my other artist  Minka Sicklinger gave me one of my favorite tattoos ever and is going to be tattooing my entire chest soon. Katie lives in Richmond, VA so she wasn’t at the show but Betty and Minka were and it was awesome to see them as always.

The show was really good and it’s still up at Tattoo Culture if you want to check it out but there will be less badass tattooed babes hanging out since you missed the opening. You should probably go anyway and then just look at my photos for the badass babes.

I have two announcements to make it this post. The first is that my site seems to be working finally. And the second is that I have a girlfriend for the first time in four years and her name is Kimberly Kane.

My site has finally switched fully over to Constant Hosting. Those guys have been awesome and I cannot thank them enough for helping us with my site’s problems. Next step is working on the new design and I just got off the phone with both my designer and back end guy and my new site is well on it’s way to becoming a reality.

In other news I have been seeing the amazing Kimberly Kane since January and we just made our relationship official which is really adorable. I have known Kimberly for a while but when I photographed her for the first time I realized how amazing she is as a human. I don’t think I have ever had so much fun shooting a girl and we talked for maybe an hour after the shoot before she had a meeting she had to deal with. We didn’t really talk after that but I ran into her in Vegas when we were both there for the AVN Awards and we hung out non stop the rest of the weekend. She came to visit me in New York in April and last week I went out to LA to visit her. I stayed with her for eight days and on the last night I asked her to be my girlfriend.

Aside from being a beloved adult film actress and director she is also an amazing photographer. She currently has a fashion layout she shot in Vice, she just shot the newest Mishka lookbook and she has a pretty sick Tumblr. She also has a web show on Vice.com that was shot years ago and is just running now (which explains why she has a boyfriend in it that is not me). On top of all that she has her own Clips4Sale store where you can buy super creepy videos of her yelling at you about how small your penis is or sitting on peoples faces or whatever fetishists are into these days. You should buy some so she can afford more plane tickets to NYC.

So anyway, I am notoriously single and haven’t had an official girlfriend since 2007 so this whole thing is a big change for me but I am super excited about it. But I promise I will shut the fuck about it and not be one of those annoying friends of yours who Tweet non stop about their significant other. I also promise that I will take lots of naked photos of her and post them on my Tumblr whenever possible.  Speaking of naked photos, when I was visiting her I took a bunch of photos of her on her couch. I also shot her with Kory Minx from Gods Girls, but I will get to those photos later. For now I have this awesome NSFW set of my lady hanging out on a couch which you should look at and be super envious of my amazingly radical porn star girlfriend.

So as per my last update my site is almost functional again. The site should work now just fine but a lot of stuff is missing. I have more then 30 gigs of photos to reupload and that shit is taking forever. I had lunch with my web guy yesterday and we are gonna be moving forward with a new redesign once this transition to a new host is complete. My hope is that by sometime in July this site will be 100% more amazing. Thanks for your patience while we get this site working like we all deserve…

So yeah I need to get some pictures up! It’s been a minute. I got a chance to shoot Kelly Anne Chaos last time I was in LA and we did this photo shoot in her bathroom and then we ate wings. I am now back in LA and I just ate at that very same wing place a few ago and I decided I needed to finally get these pictures up. Kelly is a Burning Angel I met in Vegas at this years AVN Awards. She is super tall and was wearing wildly high heels and I decided I had to shoot her. When I got to her place it was a bit too dark to shoot anywhere except in her bathroom which was just like a glowing white light. The sun came in and bounced all over everything and it seemed like a perfect place to shoot. The only problem was the the light was in her eyes and the sun was lowering fast and we only had about 20 minutes before the bright light went to no light. We worked quick and got some fun shots and then ate like kings.

Also, just as a warning, I know that when I post heavily body moded people people tend to talk shit about the girl in the comments.  Just know if you say any bullshit about Kelly and her piercings I will delete that shit instantly. Stop talking shit about women, especially ones that give you free boobs.

If you don’t know what Is Anyone Up was, don’t worry it doesn’t matter any more. Hunter Moore shut down his revenge porn site after people kept submitting underage photos and him having to deal with too much bullshit to keep running the site. Plus I think he got a bunch of money when he sold his site. Hunter is still out there DJing and throwing parties and he had an Is Anyone Up event booked at Webster Hall on Saturday so the party seemed like a perfect way to eulogize his site.  Hunter DJ’d and things got weird and some people got naked and scenesters got really excited about the whole thing. It was a pretty standard shit show.

After the show was the after party. Hunter walked out into the street and hundreds of people followed him. I described him on Twitter as the pied piper of skanks. He gave me a handful of cash to take photos so I followed the mass of tattooed 20 year olds down the street until they stumbled on the East Village dive bar Grassroots Tavern. At this point Hunter bought all of the kids, plus everyone else in the bar a round of shots and gave a toast to the death of his site. 20 minutes later he bought another round and gave the oddly pissy bartenders some serious tips. You’d think they would have been happier that someone had just bought 200 shots, but whatever. They wouldn’t even let anyone get naked in the bar so they had to get topless in the street instead. Tragic.

After the party was the hotel lobby. Somehow everyone ended up at Hunter’s hotel hanging out in the lobby until security kicked everyone out. I didn’t even bother taking photos. People were trying to plot the next move outside but I had been offered a ride to the J train so I took it. I had no interest in watching the sunset with a bunch of underage Hunter Moore fans.

Over all I actually had a pretty fun time. The pictures are awkwardly NSFW and I think you guys will enjoy them. I have no idea what Hunter’s next move is going to be but I hope he keeps hanging me fistfuls of cash to take photos of it. RIP Is Anyone Up.

I went to the 2012 NFL Draft with my crew from Dolfans NYC. I always love going to the draft because as you may have noticed all my friends are hipsters who only like sports ironically. They will act like they are a die hard Mets fan or something and then can’t name 5 players on the team. So when I get to spend two days hanging out with people who love football in the middle of the off season it gives me a chance to talk sports which I so rarely get the chance to do.

So the NFL Draft works like this. On Wednesday we all met up and got in line around 8pm. Around midnight they give you a wristband so you just spend 4 hours hanging out yelling at people about how much their team sucks more than your team. After you get your wristband you come back the next day and spend another hour in line before they let you in to the actual draft. Round one is Thursday night followed by rounds 2-3 on Friday and then rounds 4-7 on Saturday. I only watched the first round because honestly the actual draft is pretty tedious. It’s the hanging out that’s a lot of fun.

Also on the way out I ran into the Dolphins #1 draft pick Ryan Tannehill and got his autograph. As you may notice I tend to shoot a lot of famous people and the like and I would never, ever consider asking anyone for an autograph but for some reason I had to run up to a 22 year old kid who just happend to have his name called out by the dolphins to get his signature on my hat. I don’t know what it is about the Dolphins but that shit is everything to me.

Anyway, I really love a lot of these photos but as you may have noticed my site is totally fucked right now. We are fixing that next week but for now if you are having problems getting them to work I am also uploading them to the Dolfans NYC Flickr account here.

Five years ago my SB-800 flash came in the mail. I had an old manual flash and my camera came with a flash but without the high tech lasers that shoot out of flashes these days it’s really hard to use auto focus in the dark. When I got the flash my photographs got a lot better and when I relaunched Driven By Boredom as the version of the site it is today I only uploaded the galleries that I photographed post SB-800.

A few months ago when Tyga was blowing up the charts with his Top 40 hit Rack City I went back to my archives to pull a photo of him that I knew I had from 2007.  When I opened that folder on my 2007 hard drive I realized that not only was it the first night that I got the flash but it was also just a really great night.  I realized that the 5th anniversary of the night was coming up and I planned to reedit the pictures and repost them today.  So let’s get into it.

Back in the day pretty much every Wednesday I would go to two events, Invite Them Up at Rififi and High Voltage at Sutra. Invite Them Up was a legendary night in downtown “alternative comedy” hosted by Eugene Mirman and Bobby Tisdale. On April 25th, 2007 they were hosting a comedy auction to raise money for the show because Rififi was falling apart and they needed new lights and things. Looking back on that night it was a pretty amazing crowd with a lot of comics that were big at the time and a lot of comics who have blown up since. I remembered getting in a bidding war with now reasonably famous Nick Kroll over a theme song written by Stella member and director David Wain. I ended up losing, but I did win Jon Benjamin’s fake mustache who now has his on TV show. Jenny Slate was looking adorable that night and she went on to make a name for herself as a Saturday Night Live cast member who accidentally said fuck on the air in her very first episode. Kristen Schaal was there and I had a crush on her at the time and she went on to steal the show regularly during the two seasons of Flight of the Concords and pretty much everything else she’s been in. I had no idea who Hannibal Buress was back then and now he’s one of the funniest comics in NYC. And I still haven’t mentioned Michael Showalter, Todd Barry, Morgan Murphy, Brett Gelman, Kurt Braunohler, Leo Allen, Jon Glaser, Seth Herzog, Joe Mande, etc, etc… It was a pretty amazing party.

After that I headed to High Voltage at Sutra which was one of my favorite parties in NYC ever. I met so many friends at that party and made out with so many girls and got so many people naked in bathrooms there. It was awesome. The party then moved to 200 Orchard where it got a little bit worse and then to Annex where it got a lot worse Dimitry finally pulled the plug on it after a few months there. I showed Dimitry these pictures recently and he told me that he had to sneak Tyga in because he was underage and he rolled to the party with Travis McCoy who was at the time in the Gym Class Heroes. I remember Travie being there but I didn’t know who he was at the time so I didn’t take his photo because he had a camera with him and I pretty much never take photos of photographers unless I know them. Looking back at these pictures there are a ton of people in there now that I didn’t know at the time but I later became good friends with (and perhaps saw naked) later.

After High Voltage I headed over to Manor for the short lived Misshapes spin off Bleach. The party got shut down because they constantly let in underage kids and I was really psyched it got shut down because the week after this they told me they would kick me out if I took any photos because the Misshapes are super serious people. Whatever, the party was a lot of fun and there are so many pictures of people here I didn’t know at all at the time and am friends with. I had just met Sophia Lamar and Raquel Reed and the band VIP was hosting and there is a pretty funny shot of Johnny Makeup wearing a Mouseketeers and holding my business card in his mouth. There are some Ruff Kids and Misshapes in this gallery and a bunch of cute girls who I may or may not have made out with at some point in the next two years. I think I might have gone home with a girl I met that night. Those were the days…

Anyway that was five years ago when I loved doing this shit and I did it for free while I was working as a bus boy at a hotel in midtown. I am old and jaded now and won’t leave my house unless you are paying me five times what I would have been psyched to make back then. But this is life: you get old, you stop enjoying partying with college kids downtown and then you die. See you all in Hell.

Andy San Dimas is one of my favorite models to shoot and one of my favorite people in the adult industry. We have shot a bunch of times including our first shoot which was one of the favorite shoots that either of us have done. When I was in LA in January I drove out to the Valley and shot her in her back yard. It was a quick easy shoot and I think we got some nice shots. I mean homegirl is such a babe it would be hard not to.

Before I get to the photos I wanted to apologize for how shitty my site has been acting. My current host throttled my site and as much as we have done to decrease traffic we are still having a ton of issues. Fortunately a fan of the site who works for a hosting company stepped up and has offered us a pretty good deal on hosting. It’s not completely worked out yet but the site could be moved over as soon as this week. After that I hope to finally get my new site design up and functional and then everything is going to be a lot better for everyone.
