Here comes the newest installment of All My Friends Are In Bands where I bring you semi regular updates of my friends bands amazing music videos.  Today we have some good ones including one video that I am actually in.  I feel like I should be in all of my friends music videos but clearly they have no idea what they are doing so for whatever reason I don’t end up in all of them. Weird.

Luckily some people are smart enough to realize talent when they see it. Loli Lux is one of those people. She got a two for one deal when she asked me to come hang out at her video shoot.  Not only did I take amazing behind the scenes photos but she got the pure talent that is “Igor” in front of the lens as well.  If you look carefully you can see me lurching around in there taking pictures awkwardly.  It will bestill your heart.  Seriously though, this is the first video from Loli Lux and it is pretty bad ass. She got all of her weird and sexy looking friends, put them in a bar and just started shooting. It was a good time and it ended up being a good video for a good song. Watch that shit.

Next up we have our boys the motherfucking Death Set. I know you guys saw the pictures I took of them with hot tattooed naked girls recently and I am sure you know they have this new album coming out.  Well they just released the first single off that album called “Slap Slap Slap Pound Up Down Snap” and they have a pretty fucking awesome video for it.  This video is so good that they had to release another video just to hype it up. Clearly you need to watch it.

So these updates always come with three videos for some reason and I didn’t have a third video this week.  I solved that problem by uploading this old video of me icing Prince Terrence while Hussle Club was on stage at the Knitting Factory.  Remember when Icing people was so funny? Giving people Smirnoff Ice was like a sport for about a week. If you got one you had to bend down on one knee and rink it.  It was pretty funny for a second and then everyone got over it. Probably for good reason.  I shot this at the very tail end of the Icing craze and by the time I took it off my camera no one cared anymore. I haven’t even looked at this video since. I probably should have edited it or something but I don’t actually give a fuck so enjoy it the way it is. Just skip to the 30 second mark if you are impatient. I gotta go shoot naked girls and hang out in the sun in LA now. Have a nice weekend.

Let me start by saying this is a really dumb post.  I can’t express how stupid it is, but hopefully some of you creeps will enjoy it any way and the rest of you will at least find it slightly amusing.

More than two years ago I was on YouTube and I noticed that all the videos of girls making out had between 30,000 views and 2,000,000 views. This seemed insane to me but I kept checking around and they really all had just tons of hits.  As a guy who watches girls make out nearly every day of his life I actually avoid taking photos of that shit because half the time it’s just girls doing it to get me to take their photo and it is sort of embarassing and shitty to my actual lesbian friends.

All that being said, one night I was at Trash, it was actually the 10th year anniversary of me losing my virginity now that I think about it… and I ran into two friends of mine who both happened to have amazing lips.  Like really rad lips and they were in the same place at the same time and I had just seen this YouTube phenomina of girls making out getting tons of hits… AND I had my video camera on me which never happens. It seemed like fate. I asked the girls if they wanted to make out on cam, and for whatever reason they thought that was a really good idea. Probably because they both are super cute and have dope lips. Even straight girls gotta love rad lips.  So they made out for a few minutes and we taped this video and then I never did anything with it and totally forgot about it.

Two years later there have been many, many people who got the same idea I had and now there are a billion videos of girls making out on youtube and none of them have any hits.  So it seems totally pointless to upload this video now, but my friend Trev from The New Pop offered to edit something for me since I did him a favor recently. I couldn’t really think of anything but I searched old video files and found this.  So I gave it to him and he edited out some bullshit and slapped the Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco remix of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl” over it and called it a day.

So now, a few weeks later I have nothing to post today and I am feeling a little bit sick and I think it is a perfect time to unleash to the world this video of two hot girls, with really amazing lips making out at a party. So I hope you enjoy… either the girls, or the stupidity of the whole thing. Merry Xmas.

I shot pictures last night but I have a meeting and then plans and I am not going out tonight so I can get that stuff to you tomorrow AOK No Problem. I figured I would spend today catching up on some things that I have sitting around. This is going to be a two part update. The first one, this one, I have fun stuff for you like videos and links and good content like that.  In part two I just want to get some feedback about random stuff going on about my site. Sound like a good time? Let’s begin.

First off, let’s talk about this fucking cat.  I know after my bout with kittens you are probably sick of me talking about cats. I would be too. I kinda fucking hate cats. I am allergic and they are gross and have weird bugs and sores and all sorts of gross shit.  Also most of them are mean and the his and bite and scratch. Either that or they just lay around all day totally indifferent to the life that is happening around them. Now my vote for worst cat ever might be my friend Darenzia’s cat. I went over to her apartment for less than ten minutes because we were going to a party together and I met here there.  While she was getting dressed I was left with her cat who is fucking clearly possessed by Satan.  This Devil cat speaks in tongues and would not stop hissing at me and trying to murder my fucking family. Seriously, watch this quick video I shot and tell me he is not trying to plot a way to kill my parents.

Nextly, I mentioned this on my Tumblr but I wanted to mention it again. My friend Cortne Lanier is an amazing painter and she has a show in Brooklyn right now that you should check out.  Three of her paintings are based on photos I took so clearly they have to be awesome.  The gallery is near like 10 different trains so you have no excuse.  For more info and to see the paintings based on my photos click here.

Lastly, we have my friend Kayvon Zand’s new video. I wanted to blog about this with some other videos but it seems right now none of my friends have new videos out so he gets bunched in with this odd update. Kayvon is clearly a total weirdo, but he said he would make me a giant hat if I posted this video. It also has all sorts of people I love in it and it is a very cool looking video even if it’s a little bit overexposed. Plus if you are into like goth industrial stuff or whatever the kids are calling it these days, the song is probably pretty awesome. So watch this madness video and I will be back later with a really boring update.

What do I have in common with these men?  Absolutely nothing. Those bastards don’t hand a candle compared to my acting chops.  As one of the worlds greatest, if not THE greatest living actor you that I have never really acted on film before .  I did play Bambi in “Bambi” in my first grade play, my stirring cameo as Prince Charming in “Sleeping Beauty” and of course I was King Arthur in the third grade… and who could forget my performance as the Mad Hatter in “Alice In Wonderland” nearly 20 years before Depp tackled the role? But after the 6th grade plays were no longer mandatory in school and I stepped off the stage for the last time.

But as far as film goes my work has been fairly limited. I have never really found a starring role that stretched me enough as an actor.  I did take a completely silent part in a music video, as I wanted to know what it was like to convey all that emotion with just a look or a glance, without being able to rely on the power and emotion of my famous voice. Plus I did play an extra in two different porn features, but we will just ignore those for the time being…

But today I return to acting and I am giving out the goods for free.  I bet  you never thought you would be able to watch me act any time you wanted from your very bedrooms! The treat for you is almost too much to imagine. I almost envy you. TreV from The New Pop asked me to be in a short film. I instantly refused the part because the internet is clearly beneath me and he could not afford my $40,000,000 fee.  But when I found out he was looking for an actor to play a nightlife photographer from Brooklyn I had to reconsider. Could this be the challenge of a life time?  When would I ever get to push myself this far.  I wanted to know if I was up to it.

Fortunately for you I was.  I bring to you, for the first time, my greatest work as an actor.  Nay, I bring you the greatest work of ANY actor. I bring you a story of mystery and intrigue, love and loss, and both South and North Williamsburg.  Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourself as best you can for… Halfway There.

I know, I know… you thought since I had gotten rid of my adorable kittens I would stop posting and Tumbling and Tweeting about them.  Fortunately I did find good homes for both of the kittens and they both got checked out by the vets and are super healthy except for some ear mites.  They have drops now and should be perfect asap.

People gave me so much shit for Tweeting about fucking cats non stop, and the funny thing was I completely held back on how much I wanted to talk about them.  Now I know what it feels like to be an annoying mother who won’t shut the fuck up about all the stupid bullshit her baby did.  NO ONE CARES IF IT ROLLED OVER! CALL ME WHEN IT ROBS A LIQUOR STORE!

Anyway, I took a lot of video of my kittens and I probably won’t subject you to most of it, but this one video is so fucking retarded cute that I have to post it. And I got places to be, so I can give you this adorable video and it will look like I actually accomplished something today.

So, without further ado, here is a video of the most stupid adorable kitten trying to brush his teeth.

(For the record, that is the tooth brush I use to clean my sneakers with, not my actual toothbrush.)

So at about 6AM I was walking home and I saw a tiny kitten playing under a car tire by Avenue D.  After looking at him for a few minutes I realized he had a brother a few feet away under the other tire.  I sat down and sort of lured them over to me.  I am super allergic to cats but these things were so damn cute and clearly in not a real good position to be in.  I noticed that there was a box a few feet away and it appears someone had filled a box full of cat food and abandoned them in it.  They had escaped from the box and were hiding under car tires.  I calle 311 but all the shelters were closed.  I couldn’t leave them there so I picked them up and put them back into the box and we caught a cab back to Brooklyn. So I stayed up with them until my roommate got up for work so he could shower then I dried out the bath tub and put them in it and gave them some water and a towel to sleep in.  I got a couple hours of sleep and then got up to check on them.  They seem to be doing fine but the non-black cat seems to be a bit weak.  Anyway, I am going to take them to a shelter this evening if no one wants them, but they are so cute I figured I could find a good home.  So if you want to rescue some of the most adorable kittens I have ever seen in my life, please email me.  I need to deal with this soon because I am doing my 30th birthday party tonight.

So as per my Tumblr, I had no plans on updating tonight.  I have been organizing my computer and my apartment and putting ads on the website and watching Friday Night Lights for some reason.  Because of these mostly productive things I didn’t really have any time to work on a good update for you this weekend.  I mean who the hell updates on the weekend anyway?  Well, I guess I do…

While I was organizing my old hard drives I found a bunch of cool shit including some funny old photos I will be Tumbling next week, some old pictures I took of Lady Gaga in 2007, and this video of me getting my lip pierced.

I got my lip done in 2001 when I was living in Richmond, VA.  Actually now that I think about it, it might have been early 2002, but that is completely not important.  I had the lip ring up until about two years ago when I was at Happy Endings and this drunk model chick punched me in the face for taking her photo.  She was my friends roommate too.  It was really insane, but I guess that’s what happens when you hang out with drunk people every single night.  Anyway, when she punched me the ball from my lip ring popped out and a few days later I lost the lip ring while eating a bagel on the Subway.  I thought about getting a new ring, but I decided that I was way to old to have facial piercings so I took it out.

Anyway, the video is sort of graphic, and very very mildly entertaining.  But if you had the time to read this boring fucking post, you have the time to watch this short and painful video.

So guess what? After the two posts I am putting up today from the Lose Control 2 party at Vice I have only 3 more SXSW updates.  I realize this stuff happened almost two months ago, but damn, I was busy and I took a lot of fucking photos. Better late that never… Let’s just keep it moving.

I went to Lose Control with my friend Arden, we came to just check out the place and heard a bad we wanted to see was playing late there.  I don’t even remember who it was, but I never got to see them because I ended up leaving to see my friends band play across the street. I did get a chance to see Hey Champ.  I actually don’t remember much about them because it was so long ago and they were the second band I shot out of 50 that week.  I do remember that they were fun to shoot and that two girls were flirting with me while I was shooting them.  That was a lot of fun.

Anyway, I have three updates for today and it’s already 10 PM so we are gonna just have to keep it moving.  Click here to see the pictures of Hey Champ at Loose Control 2 at Vice at SXSW in Austin. Yeah.

I cannot act.  I have no idea why I was asked to co star in a short film for The New Pop.  I guess it had something to do with the fact that I am an nightlife photographer and the character was a nightlife photographer.  I was flattered to be asked, and I have been trying to get my friends to put me in their movies for ages so I said yes despite my reservations about my poor acting and some questionable bits in the script. We rehearsed a few times and each time completely rewrote the script.  The director Trevz has shot music videos and has ten years of behind the camera experience but had never directed anything with scripted dialogue. I am not sure he was prepared for what he was getting himself into.  He thought we could finish the whole thing in a few hours, but we went all night.  It was the coldest day of the fall and have the shoot was outside and we were miserable.  No one really knew what we were doing and we kept missing parts.  I sort of took command of making sure we got everything while Trevz made sure he got amazing shots.  I think everyone was a bit annoyed at me when I kept making us redo things. Luckily we got everything shot, and if nothing else the footage looked incredible.  Trevz did a few edits that got better each time, but it never really came together the way he thought it would.  I just think we needed more time preparing, and it would have been nice to have shot on a warmer day, but you live and you learn.  Trevz clearly knows what he is doing behind the camera and has a vision, he just needs a little more practice.  I can’t wait to see his next attempt.

Anyway, the project was almost scrapped, but Trevz figure out away to keep some of it alive.  He cut it down from 7 minutes to just over two minutes and created a little snippet that is totally different from the original film.  It was a pretty great move to save it.  My favorite part was the end, which is completely gone now, but he told me that it might end up becoming the opening to his next film, so we will just wait and see. If nothing else, you get to see me looking really tired in a wife beater.  And while it is pretty clear I have no acting talents, I still want to be in all my friends movies, so please cast me already.  I need to start putting together a reel.  Oscar or bust motherfucker.
