The annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade was not actually in Tompkins Square park this year, but it was every bit as adorable as the last time I went. Apparently the parade was almost canceled because the NY Parks Department required them to get a huge liability insurance policy they couldn’t afford. Fortunately there was a crowd funded campaign and they raised enough money to continue the parade for its 28th year! And while it wasn’t at the usual place the East River Amphitheater seemed like a great location even though it was a long ass walk from the train.

Puppies are pretty much my favorite thing to photograph even though I totally should have kept one of the squeeky toys I bought for my Isle of Dogs shoot. Dogs are real hard to shoot when they are playing with other dogs, wearing costumes and being photographed by pretty much everyone there. Still, it’s impossible to take a bad photo of a good dog so I don’t think you guys are gonna be too upset about any of the shots. 

I was only there for an hour or so because I was shooting some behind the scenes stills for a new TV show my friends are directing, but I still got a ton of photos and it was a really fun and productive day.

Okay, I don’t have anything else to add to this because puppys are perfect, but I do wanna mention that I am selling a mysterious thing. It comes out next month and I don’t want to ruin the surprise yet. All I can tell you is that it is really dumb conceptually, involves at least some nudity, and if you order it before I announce what it is you’ll get a free zine that I am also not announcing yet. A few months ago Scout was visiting NYC and she hit me up about taking some photos. I don’t really sleep at night and she had something to do until pretty late so I ended up getting to her hotel at like 2am or something. It was really late. She was staying at the Standard and all the rooms have an entire wall of windows so I was sort of hoping we could make it until sunrise so we could get some cool shots with the natural light.

When I got there the room was really poorly lit. My options were 1) no light 2) bright but ugly light 3) mood light. The mood lighting was the best option but it wasn’t really bright enough to shoot anything and it was too yellow. I had this idea to turn on the TV. I’ve used TV to light (or at least help light) shoots before and the Standard had this Standard TV station and they kept playing this black and white video over and over again which made for a pretty consistent cool light source. Between that and the big mirror I felt like we had something.

I don’t say this very often but I really like these photos. Scout is a great model and the TV lighting looks so cool. You can see us trying different things as we move through the set but we kinda nailed it from the beginning. We also shot a TON of 35mm stuff that I am sure is going to end up in some zine or book down in the future. I shot her in the bath and eating room service and all this stuff using my flash for the 35mm stuff and I was pretty happy with most of it. We never did make it until sunrise, but it was pretty much daytime by the time I got back to Brooklyn.

I also added a handful of photos from the end of this shoot where we were trying out different stuff and shots of her with the food and things like that. I got some new photos for you that are new in that they are from this calendar year. I met Evelyn in Vegas which seems to be the place I meet most people I shoot because of that whole AVN Awards thing. It sort of works like this, some cute lady on the internets will follow me and I will lurk them and find out they get naked on the internet and I follow them back and then a few months later I find out they are going to be in Vegas in January for AVN and then I hit them up or run into them at the hotel and say “hey let’s go take photos upstairs for 20 minutes” and then 10 months later you get to see the photos because I am so backed up with content that I never get around to posting anything in a timely matter.

So yeah, this is Evelyn Claire. She’s real photogenic. We shot these photos in her hotel room and we finished the shoot so fast I shot her again in her AVN dress so she’d have some nice photos in that so it’s really two shoots in one, okay, that’s not really true given it’s in the exact same place in the exact same room and she looks exactly the same in both shoots. And also there’s some photos of her in a leather jacket too so like is that three different shoots? No, of course not. So, it’s been decided. One shoot, three outfits, plenty of photos for you to look at.

I met Rose Ryan in Vegas when I was shooting Raya & Goldie back in January. They were all staying together in an apartment they rented for the week, but Rose wasn’t around when we started shooting. She showed up late and after talking to her for a bit, I realized I had actually taken her photo before when she was staying in Vegas with some other friends of mine. Super weird coincidence, but not really important right now.

The next day we did a super quick shoot on a roof of a parking deck but I only shot 35mm stuff so you guys haven’t seen any of that stuff unless you are up on my other social media. I know I posted some to Twitter & Instagram. I loved the photos we took and we talked about shooting again one day and fortunately I just happened to be in Ohio not too far from her over the summer. 

We didn’t have long to shoot, but I think we got some really nice stuff in the hotel room I was staying in. I shot some stuff of her outside on the balcony but we took it inside once she got naked. I just backlit her and we got some really pretty photos that I feel like you guys will enjoy.

Rose and I just work really well together because there aren’t a lot of models who would just show up with no make up on and just be down for whatever. I just love the rawness of everything we have shot together. It’s pretty much exactly how I want to shoot and I feel like it takes some bravery just to be human in a photo.

I finally finished organizing another year of my massive photo archives. Last night I went through all the 35mm as well and today I pulled a bunch of my favorite digital shots for this update. I have already started on 2018 as well so I am pretty damn close to organizing pretty much every photo I have ever taken, although my phone photography is a mess, but I don’t care about that. 

Anyway, looking at 2017  it’s pretty clear why I am so broke right now. I raised $22,000 on Kickstarter for my book Instaxxx and I thought that would be more than enough money to publish the book, and it was, the problem was that I spent months working on the book instead of working paying jobs and I didn’t really think about it because of all the money I had raised. That was stupid.

So, 2017 there are a ton of girl photos because I was working on a nude polaroid book, and then there are a ton of photos from events like AVN and Exxxotica where I was working those events pretty much just so I could be in places with a bunch of nude models so I could work on my book and then of course there are photos from the two  book release parties. So that accounts for like 80% of these photos and that is of course why my credit card bill is out of control. My bad, buy my book. 

There are of course a bunch of non naked people related images in here and I figured I should mention a few of the highlights. SXSW was cool. I was working for Playboy at the time and I did a couple of other jobs but it was pretty relaxing otherwise. I shot the Tisch Gala for NYU which also happened to be Alec Baldwin’s birthday so that was pretty great. I shot a few Trump related protests that were pretty boring photographically but there’s a few shots in here. There’s a few shots from my failed trip to the Galapagos and a few headshots for friends. I shot some tattoo stuff as always including the 20th anniversary of legal tattooing in NYC. I went to Florida and hung out with Mike Busey at his weird ass house. Oh and of course I shot the Brooklyn Zombie Crawl and my band played it as well and then we broke up which is a bummer because I really miss it. 

And then there were the juggalos…. My next book is going to be juggalos god dammit and I have now photographed the Gathering of the Juggalos 9 times but 2017 was the worst of em. I also went with my now girlfriend so I might have slacked off a little bit. Still it was cool because it was a totally different environment in Oklahoma City which will add some new scenes to my book. ICP also played in Brooklyn so I got a ton of ironic hipster juggalo photos which I feel like has to be good for something. And then finally we have the Juggalo March on Washington which I am not gonna even explain. Go read the post so I don’t spend 500 words repeating myself. 

Okay, that’s it. One step closer to organizing my life and one more giant update for you guys to waste some time clicking through. Time to start putting together my next book edit and finally building a damn portfolio site for the first time since 2008!

Hey this is Taurus. I met her on the Internets ages ago when she was a Burning Angel. That link is very NSFW but it used to give me money if you signed up via the link but I have no idea if it works anymore. I still get random affiliate checks from different adult sites I used to plug when I posted about their girls back in the day but it’s like $25 every 6 months so I never bother looking into where that money is coming from. Anyway, none of that matters. What was I talking about? Oh right. Taurus. 

We became friends on the Internet and then we finally met in real life in Vegas at the AVN week and I took some photos of her with our mutual friend in a parking garage. I was supposed to do a real shoot with her on a road trip when I went to Seattle but she had to cancel at the last minute and it wasn’t until AVN 2017 that we finally took some photos. These are the oldest photos I haven’t posted except for one set that is so old I may never post it and then some stuff I shot at the Gathering of the Juggalos that I am gonna save to promote my juggalo book with whenever that comes out. None of this is important but I didn’t post them because this terrible hotel art that’s in the background makes these photos look fucking cheesey as hell, but at least Taurus is hot so fuck it here they are. 

They have been on Girls of DBB for a minute in HD and there’s some bonus shots on there so like sign up for that already because I am broke as fuck right now and am in one of those fun depression periods where I am too unmotivated to actually figure out how to get some more work so I can pay off my increasing credit card debt. Gonna make this post a quick one because 1) I am in Detroit visiting my girlfriend 2) You don’t care about the Miami Dolphins and 3) I am gonna do another post with a video from this event so I am gonna talk about it all over again. But I got some photos for you and they need at least some explanation.

My friend Michelle and I run Dolfans NYC, the largest Miami Dolphins fan club in the world. We throw this event every year called the #MetLifeTakeover where we throw a huge tailgate when the Dolphins play the Jets in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium. We also buy over 1000 tickets every year so you can sit in an almost all Dolphins section and it feel like a home game in Miami. It’s a lot of fun, especially when we win like we did on Sunday.

The night before we throw a pre-party at our bar Slattery’s Midtown Pub so that’s what the first half of the photos are from. 

We do raffles and fundraisers and sell merch both nights and we raise a ton of money for charity. We donated $2000 to the Miami Dolphins Foundation at the tailgate during the live taping of a radio show called Cup of Joe hosted by a former Dolphins player. We also had two of my favorite Dolphins of all time come to the tailgate as part of the Cup of Joe show. It was great. We also donated $2000 to the Jason Taylor Foundation as well and raised a lot more money that will be donated to various charities.

Indian Larry Motorcycles used to be a few blocks from my apartment and I would always stop by their block parties. One of the first jobs I ever did for Inked Magazine was shooting the block party in 2009. A few years ago they moved to Greenpoint and I haven’t been to a block party since, but my friends at Sailor Jerry were there and asked me to swing by and when I heard a guy was going to jump a motorcycle Evel Knievel style I wasn’t gonna say no. 

Cole Freeman jumped his Harley across a pyramid of 9360 bottles of Northern Chill water which is honestly a god damn incredible branding promotion. I mean the actual jump lasted about 2 seconds but it was awesome and a million people took photos and video of their water. They got promotion and we got the chance to maybe see a guy die right in front of us, but he made it because he’s great and because this is fucking America god dammit. 

Look, it was great, it was a really fun time and I would have stayed a lot longer except I had to do all of this Miami Dolphins related stuff which I will tell you guys about in a couple of days but I gotta wake up in 4 hours to organize a tailgate party for a few thousand people at an ungodly time in the morning so look at these photos in the meantime.

I uploaded these photos of Michelle to Girls of Driven By Boredom last week and then totally forgot to write up this post and give you guys the pictures too. Well here we are and it’s Monday night and you are finally getting an update. My bad.

So here are some photos of my friend Michelle. I actually met her on Tinder years ago and we hung out once and didn’t really talk again but we were friends on Instagram so when I was working on my book Instaxxx she hit me up and asked me if she could be in it. She’s not a model or anything and I was really looking for more people to be in the book that weren’t professional naked people so I was excited to have her in it. 

One night I hit her up about doing it and she told me she couldn’t because she had to pick her friend up for the airport and I made some dumb joke like “is she hot and does she want to be naked in a book?” and Michelle replied “actually she probably would be down” and later that night I showed up at Michelle’s apartment and we shot a bunch of photos of her and her friend and a few of them ended up in the book. (There are some digital outtakes on Girls of DBB somewhere too.) I think they were the first professional naked photos either of them had ever taken.

After that night Michelle and I stayed in contact and actually became pretty good friends and she told me that after we took photos she became way more open to doing naked photos and had shot with a mutual friend of ours and she wanted to do a proper shoot with me. I was down and we took a bunch of photos of her in her bedroom and now you get to look at them.

I should plug Girls of DBB one more time, because by the time Michelle got out of her underwear it was too dark in her room and so most of the fully nude photos were pretty bad so instead of giving them to you guys I figured I would just put them on Girls of DBB and make the people who want to see those pay for them so that I can afford to eat delivery food every day of my life and never learn to cook.

Yeah, now go look at some damn photos and remind me to take more photos of Michelle ASAP now that I have published these because I think the world needs more photos of her.
