My dude Hannibal Buress turned 30 years old yesterday and decided to throw a party at the Knitting Factory. Last time I was there was for the premiere of Hannibal’s Comedy Central  special Animal Furnace. This time there was less comedy and much more hip hop. The night started out with hip hop legend Prince Paul DJing. After that things got real weird with Hip Hop Karaoke NYC taking over. I am not a big karaoke fan but when I do it I am always tempted to do some old school hip hop classic but I have seen people fail miserably when trying to do songs they think they know every word of. Now try that while holding the lyrics in your hand instead of timed out on a screen and you are in for a disaster. It was a pretty amazing train wreck although some people certainly stood out.

Halfway through the hilarious hip hop karaoke Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds showed up. He was DJing after the karaoke but he rolled in with Action Bronson and Questlove. Quest very begrudgingly did a song at Hannibal’s insistance and he kept slowing down the track. “This is why I am a drummer. I stopped trying to rap 20 years ago.” It was pretty epic. Action Bronson enjoyed himself a bit more and did two songs including A Tribe Called Quest’s Scenario with Cipha, Hannibal and Hannibal’s insane cousin Percy. As you can see if you click that link it was epic.

After that Cipha Sounds DJ’d and although he properly killed it the crowd began to thin out as you might expect at 1am on a Monday night but the jobless people who stuck it out were in for a rare treat. Hannibal really upped the weirdness game of his 30th birthday and did a 15 minute version of his 70 second “Gibberish Rap” and invited Mario, Alvin of the Chipmonks fame and Spongebob Squarepants to join him. It was in the top 10 most surreal moments of my life. Oh, did I mention the ballet dancers? Yeah, that too. It was a supremely weird and awesome way to end the night.

I have more than 25 galleries of naked girls that I need to post at some point so it’s rare that a nude set I shoot goes up right away, but these photos of Moni Love are the exception. When I was in Vegas I shot a TON of girls for a “Girls of the AVN Awards” type feature for Hustler. I had to edit all the sets right away and get them to Hustler. The one girl I shot in Vegas that WASN’T for the Hustler article was of Moni Love but I edited it at the same time so it was just sitting in a folder on my desktop all ready to go. The other galleries won’t go up until after Hustler runs them, but Moni is going up today!

I met Moni through my friend Eve Cates who I shot years ago. I had hoped to shoot them both for this Hustler project but it didn’t work out and I had all but given up shooting Moni but then I decided to stay in Vegas an extra day. I decided I would get more work done if I just checked into a cheap hotel and edited all day. I checked into a $28 room the Circus Circus and just watched football and edited photos. Moni had a midnight flight home but she came over to my hotel room and we did a full photo shoot in about 15 minutes on her way to the airport. It was a quick and easy shoot in a mildly creepy and horribly lit hotel room. Also, it should be pointed out that I am one of the first people to get to photograph Moni’s new boobs, so bonus points for that.

When I saw the Brooke Candy video for Das Me I quickly put her on my mental list of people I want to photograph. The video was so insane and super catchy and I figured her live performance would make for great photos. So when I heard that she would be playing at Santos Party House I figured I had to check that out. It had to be a weird scene.

Brooke Candy was performing at a Friday night weekly that is amazingly titled “Friday”. It’s a super gay, super wild party that made for some fantastic photos. I have always said that the best parties in NYC are the gay parties and Friday takes that shit to another level. Some of the weirdest fashions I have ever seen were on display. These 20 year old kids are putting some of the most bizarre queers in New York to shame. I cannot even get my head around a football jersey kimono. That’s just some future gay shit I don’t even know about, but I am totally on board. When Michael Alig gets out of jail he is going to be psyched. Oh, did I mention the disco penis?

Brooke Candy finally got on stage around two and while I was photographically disappointed (she performed in a hoodie and jeans) she actually put on a pretty good show and by the end of her 5 song set she had the crowd losing their minds. I was hoping she would be dressed in some cholo space stripper ensamble but I had good time and her fans more than made up for it.

Also, I just realized that the last event I shot was a gay party too, so this website right now is like porn awards, gay party, naked chick, gay party. I will keep that weirdness coming with another naked girl update Monday. It’s always good to confuse your websites sexuality.
