Halfway There

Marlon Brando. Robert De Niro. Denzel Washington. Johnny Depp.

What do I have in common with these men?  Absolutely nothing. Those bastards don’t hand a candle compared to my acting chops.  As one of the worlds greatest, if not THE greatest living actor you that I have never really acted on film before .  I did play Bambi in “Bambi” in my first grade play, my stirring cameo as Prince Charming in “Sleeping Beauty” and of course I was King Arthur in the third grade… and who could forget my performance as the Mad Hatter in “Alice In Wonderland” nearly 20 years before Depp tackled the role? But after the 6th grade plays were no longer mandatory in school and I stepped off the stage for the last time.

But as far as film goes my work has been fairly limited. I have never really found a starring role that stretched me enough as an actor.  I did take a completely silent part in a music video, as I wanted to know what it was like to convey all that emotion with just a look or a glance, without being able to rely on the power and emotion of my famous voice. Plus I did play an extra in two different porn features, but we will just ignore those for the time being…

But today I return to acting and I am giving out the goods for free.  I bet  you never thought you would be able to watch me act any time you wanted from your very bedrooms! The treat for you is almost too much to imagine. I almost envy you. TreV from The New Pop asked me to be in a short film. I instantly refused the part because the internet is clearly beneath me and he could not afford my $40,000,000 fee.  But when I found out he was looking for an actor to play a nightlife photographer from Brooklyn I had to reconsider. Could this be the challenge of a life time?  When would I ever get to push myself this far.  I wanted to know if I was up to it.

Fortunately for you I was.  I bring to you, for the first time, my greatest work as an actor.  Nay, I bring you the greatest work of ANY actor. I bring you a story of mystery and intrigue, love and loss, and both South and North Williamsburg.  Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourself as best you can for… Halfway There.

Ps. Yeah, I posted a similar film before, but it got redited and reshot and now you have this. This is better.

Arden Leigh

You may have noticed this girl Arden Leigh show up a bunch on my website recently. She seems to be all over the place and she is pretty damn adorable. She is also a total camera whore, and I mean that in the best way. But Arden is more than a pretty face, she is a career gal.  Arden is a professional seductress.  Yes, you read that right.  Arden started out as a dominatrix but it wasn’t long before she got so good at manipulating guys that she started training dominatrices. Currently she teaches women how to trick men into giving them shit… be it money, attention or mostly love.  She founded the Sirens Seduction forum and runs her own blog.  She is pretty much the female version of Mystery… or maybe she is the female version of Neil Strauss, because she just sold her first book…

That book brings us to these photos… Arden asked all of her photographer friends to do a shoot with her, and then she would submit the best photos from each shoot to her publisher who would then pick the best photo for the book cover.  My style seems to be a bit raw for what a publisher would want for a book cover (even if we did cheese it up a little bit), but I figured it would be a good excuse to get Arden naked on my web site.  We shot two galleries the second of which will be up pretty soon.  If you liked these, keep checking back for it.

So, do yourself a favor and click here to see all the Not Safe For Work photos of the beautiful and dangerous Arden Leigh.

Tiny Furniture Rooftop Films Screening – 6.13.10

I got to see Tiny Furniture again and it was still fantastic the second time.  My friend Lena Dunham’s second feature had its NY premiere on Friday at BAM Rose Cinemas and then they had a special outdoors screening as part of the Rooftop Films summer movie series. It was a very cool event where they had a huge inflatable screen set up in the parking lot across from BAM. It was really cool to watch a movie outside like that and the distractions of the city and the sometimes questionable sound were offset by the surprsingly great weather.  It rained during the day and the event was almost called off, but the rain let up a few hours before the screening and didn’t really start again until the credits were basically rolling.  The Q&A was pretty wet and just a few brave die hards with umbrellas stuck around for the free beer and after party, but the whole event was great none the less.

One thing I have yet to mention was the opening entertainment for the movie.  My good friend Teddy Blanks did the soundtrack and the title sequences to the film and he preformed a short set before the movie.  Video artist Christian Shultz creates videos for all of Teddy’s songs which were projected behind Teddy on the giant inflatable screen as he played.  One of the videos features a man dancing while a girl behind him masturbates on a bed.  I was wondering if Teddy was going to perform it at such a family friendly out door event… he did. They turned the video off within 20 seconds but let him keep playing.  I think it is a pretty great acomplishment to be censored by BAM.  To see more weird video art and madness from Teddy and Christian you should check out their insane website: Too Hot For The Internet.

One other thing of note, my parents came with my brother and me to the movie and while it was great to have them there it was very awkward to watch some parts of the movie with them.  If you have ever seen your mother laugh at a joke about a “cum omelette” you know what I mean. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of my parents in the gallery though because they abhor my website as any good parent should.

The gallery is pretty small because I expected to do most of my shooting afterwards but the rain put a stop to that, but you should click here to see the pictures of Teddy Blanks & Tiny Furniture at BAM anyway

Tiny Furniture is out nation wide and on IFC On Demand in October.

Trash – 6.11.10

I was actually in a pretty decent mood on Friday. I am rarely in a good mood and much more rarely when I am at Webster Hall.  Not that I don’t love everyone who throws the parties and most of the kids who are there for the Friday, but the Guido crowd is super intense there on the weekends and some of the bouncer there are fucking dicks. No issues on Friday though and I brought a bunch of people with me to the party. I had just come from some weird Brooklyn house party that I wondered into and I was ready for some fun. I feel like I hit on about a dozen people and took some decent photos and ended up leaving before 4am which almost never happens.  All in all a pretty successful night.

There is a little bit of nudity in this gallery as always at Trash, the burlesque and gogos were on point and my home girl Cassette guest DJ’d and killed it but by far the highlight of the night was when my dear friend Nellee Dii, a giant queen in both stature and gayocity, accidentally mule kicked this girl in the knee.  He was dancing up a storm and pretty much no one was on the dance floor but him and Apathy and he was prancing about wildly to the music. Right as this girl walked by he did this crazy kick and hit this girl right in the knee as she was extending her leg and she went fucking flying face first into the ground.  It was really maybe the funniest thing ever. I was laughing so hard but trying to keep a straight face until I saw that she was okay and then I pretty much burst into tears laughing.

Speaking of funniest things ever… if you run into me, ask me what the two funniest things I have ever seen are.  They are pretty epic.

Anyway, there are some NSFW photos here of course, so be warned, but if you can deal with that, please click here to see the photos from Trash in the Studio at Webster Hall.

Girls & Boys – 6.11.10

Woah. Guess what? My parents are in town. I just watched the US/England World Cup game with them. I just found that I find it very diffucult to watch sports without screaming and cursing at the television. More importantly my parents being in town means that I have very little time to work on this web site.  This means that this update is going to be super fast and you may have to wait until tomorrow for the other half of it.

So this first post is the upstairs at Webster on Friday. You should know by now but the party upstairs is called Girls & Boys and the party downstairs is called Trash. Trash pics will be coming soon.  Switch DJd Girls & Boys and people were raving their asses off or whatever the kids are doing these days.  I actually had a really good time last night so you should have a good time looking at the pictures. That’s usually how it works.

So, click here to see all the pictures from Girls & Boys at Webster Hall last night.

More Fucking Kittens…

I know, I know… you thought since I had gotten rid of my adorable kittens I would stop posting and Tumbling and Tweeting about them.  Fortunately I did find good homes for both of the kittens and they both got checked out by the vets and are super healthy except for some ear mites.  They have drops now and should be perfect asap.

People gave me so much shit for Tweeting about fucking cats non stop, and the funny thing was I completely held back on how much I wanted to talk about them.  Now I know what it feels like to be an annoying mother who won’t shut the fuck up about all the stupid bullshit her baby did.  NO ONE CARES IF IT ROLLED OVER! CALL ME WHEN IT ROBS A LIQUOR STORE!

Anyway, I took a lot of video of my kittens and I probably won’t subject you to most of it, but this one video is so fucking retarded cute that I have to post it. And I got places to be, so I can give you this adorable video and it will look like I actually accomplished something today.

So, without further ado, here is a video of the most stupid adorable kitten trying to brush his teeth.

(For the record, that is the tooth brush I use to clean my sneakers with, not my actual toothbrush.)

Amanda Lepore’s Big Top – 6.9.10

I am still in hurry up mode right now but this party is still so fucking crazy.  You need to come to this. Carnival is the most insane night club. It’s like the Circus Circus scene in Fear and Loathing.  This place is actually open on the weekends for kids.  Seriously, what the fuck?

Amanda Lepore hosts it, Cazwell Djs and I have seen Richie Rich from Heatherette the last two times I have been there which made my friends from CA really excited. Actually, I had two groups of friends from LA there.  Other than my friend Leslie and her friend who I mentioned in the last post my friend Rony and his girlfriend Jessica showed up again.  We had a gay old time and there are pictures to prove it.

All the shots are pretty fucking crazy, plus thanks to Leslie’s friend Marley and Lady Fag’s poorly designed dress there are a grand total of three boobs in this gallery.  Rejoice in the NSFW… or don’t.  Whatever works.

Fuck it, just click here to look at all the pictures from Amanda Lepore’s Big Top at Carnival already.  Damn.

Ella Wednesdays – 6.9.10

My friend Leslie from the infamous Leslie & Hannah shoot is in town and last night I met her at Nicky Digital’s Wednesday night party at Ella. When I got in she had just been Iced so I knew I had to start shooting photos. We didn’t stay too long and I am super stressed about going on vacation on Tuesday. I know that is completely the opposite point of vacation, but it is not going well right now. I have so much shit to do before I go.

The point being is that I have to go and I have nothing to say about these photos and probably very little bit to say about the next update that will be up as soon as I finish telling you that I am not going to tell you anything. Yup.

Click here to see the photos from Ella Wednesdays at of all places, Ella.

The 2010 Webutante Ball – 6.8.10

It’s Internet Week in New York and you know what that means? Tech parties.  Tech parties are the best because they have open bars and really awkward people get very drunk and start dancing.  But because they aren’t pretentious assholes like most of my friend everyone actually has fun. A NYC tech party is a bit different because they retain some of that NY pretension, but they still get down.

Welcome to the Webutante Ball, held at Marquee of all places.  It was a semi-formal event that was the dance portion of the home coming weekend that is Internet Week. A few web celebs showed up and I took pictures of whoever I could just assuming they ran some powerful web business that could crush me. For example, you know when you see someone you think is your friend and you tap them on the shoulder and it turns out not to be them? Well come guy did that to me last night and I told him that I wasn’t his friend, but I demanded that we become friends instantly and I made him pose for a photo… Well it turns out that guy was Dennis Crowley who created Foursquare and got drunk and told basically Google to fuck themselves in a recent Wired UK article. Good times.

The Ball was held to honor all sorts of internet celebrities and internet wanna be celebrities.  Conan O’Brien and Betty White were named King and Queen of the ball, however they were not there so some sort of honors were bestowed upon fame ball runners up Kari Ferrell (The Hipster Grifter) and Arthur Kade.  Julia Allison was there and was inducted into the fameball hall of fame and Foursquare also won something.  It was all wonderful and exciting.

The whole thing was pretty much just a good excuse for the internets to come together, get very drunk and network.  I had a good time and got to hang out with a bunch of the Gawker crew and of course my new grifting homie Kari.  Oh, speaking of Kari, this guy won a contest to be her date to the ball! Amazing.

Okay, moving on, click here to see all the pictures from the Webutante Ball at Marquee.  And then you can click here if you want to see the same exact photos on the Voice, Time Out NY or the Daily Beast.

PS. When you look through the gallery can you play spot the Suicide Girls? Hint: There are two of them!
