Tomorrow at Webster I am doing some sort of sexy photo booth with burlesque performer Legs Malone dressed up as Santa Claus. Come get your picture taken sitting on Santa’s lap.  And don’t worry, for the ladies (and the gays, don’t think we forgot the gays…) we have Fat Shain dressed as some sort of sexy elf.  So you can get some super weird X-Mas card to send out to your friends that will rival my X-mas card from 2007.  It should be a fun party and no matter what the photo booth should be super weird. Plus Mark Ronson will be upstairs, and everybody loves relatively talented pretty rich people with famous parents… So come on out!

I am shooting the new Thursday night party at Darkroom tonight. Last week was crazy and I was only there for thirty minutes.  Hopefully tonight will be even crazier and I will actually get to document the whole thing. Come out tonight. It is free and there is an open bar.  Let’s make this party crazy. Anyone remember how fun Mondays at Darkroom used to be? We need that back and I need a regular Thursday night party. Let’s kill it.

Roxy Cottontail threw another party at Sway on Monday this time bringing DJ Excel up from Philly.  Also with her was DJ Schoolboy and DJ Iron Lyon.  There was also an Hennessey Black open bar, but that shit happened way before I got there.  Fun times were had, a fight outside was avoided and girls got Daggered.  What more do you want from a party?  Click here to see all the pictures from Sway.

Again, we are quickly moving. I need a nap before midnight. I spent slightly more time upstairs at Webster than I did downstairs, but I spent most of that time in the back/upstage area doing nothing.  It was my friend Gabby’s birthday so happy birthday to her, and Spankrock & Dances With White Girls DJ’d which is always good.  I have to say that hanging out backstage you had to think there was a lot of talent in that room with Theo London and Darth Bano and the rest of those cats in attendance.  Maybe one day we will look back and think that there were a lot of legendary musicans in that room.  Then again probably 10 years from now no one will give a fuck. Lose Your Shit is a series of Warehouse parties where they get all sorts of different musicians and performance artist together and throw weird parties.  More importantly Lose Your Shit was one of the final stops in the Santacon bar crawl/ flash mob.  100’s of Santas flooded NYC and I am sure you have seen coverage of the event somewhere.  I was far too lazy to get up and shoot Santacon all day but I did manage to party with them late night. It was also good to shoot a party where I didn’t really know anyone. I had some friends from Lowbrow Society for the Arts there and Eli Escobar was DJing and Jess Jubilee was hanging out but other than that I don’t think I had even seen any of these people.  Either that or they were just wearing Santa beards and I didn’t notice. It was a pretty crazy party with acrobats and half naked Santas and all manor of weird costumes. Plus the spot on N. 3rd and Wythe where they have it just seems conclusive to fun.

This is a super minimal update. It is getting late on Sunday and I wanted to get some stuff up.  My friend Jen who runs 1/2 of The Music Slut had her birthday yesterday at Brooklyn Bowl and she invited a bunch of bands like O’Death to play. I thought it was at night so I was gonna go late, but Teddy Blanks called me at 230PM and told me he was playing at 3. I got over there in time to catch the second half of his set.  I only shot a few pictures because I had planned on doing a gallery of the whole event but I ended up going to see the new Werner Herzog film My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done? at IFC. It was amazing and despite my desire to see O’Death, the absolute right choice for a way to spend a Saturday evening. Last night I was on a mission to find some adventure and take some photos. I had several stops planned and I was going to take a few pictures at each place, but after I left Prince Terrence’s new party at Darkroom I didn’t take out my camera again all night.  The rest of my night was pretty boring, but Circa at Darkroom was unexpectedly fun.  The place was evidently packed early and then crazy late.  I came in the middle and didn’t stay as long as I should have. There weren’t a lot of people there when I was there but they were all out of control and having fun. I took like 75 pictures in Terrence was in most of them.  Maluca (who I may or may not have a crush on now) was there and I took a bunch of rad photos of  her and Terry and my girl Contessa was out of control and running around with her shirt off. There was some NSFW stuff I shot, but I decided to keep it classy.  Anyway I had so much fun that I think I am going to shoot/host next week, so next Thursday at Darkroom should be huge.

For the last two days, for whatever reason, I left my apartment intending on taking pictures of something. I failed both nights in a row.  My motivation for taking party pictures that I am not getting paid to take is probably the lowest it has ever been.  So hire me already so I can have a reason to blog about your parties… I need to be shooting more than twice a week.

Around 2am last night my phone died so I decided to go home.  I can’t really deal mentally without having my phone on me at all times because it seems whenever I don’t have it some how I miss a dead line or some crazy happening. Or maybe it’s just my OCD acting up again. On my way home I stopped in the Skinny for a few minutes to say hi to people at the Atomic X party which used to be at Beauty Bar on Wednesdays.  They played 5 Beatles songs in a row so I ended up staying for slightly longer than I planned to. The gimmick to that party is that they give away free candy and I was sitting at the bar shoving Swedish Fish in my mouth like I was a gummi grizzly bear. That’s when it happened. I picked up a bag of fish with only two fish in it. Two fish!! I call Shenanigans on that! You can imagine my outrage.  Yes, admittedly the fish were free, and admittedly there were plenty more bags of fish in the candy bowl, but this is America and I don’t have to stand for no Shenanigans!
