So a while ago I signed up for a Model Mayhem account after fellow photographer Marc Goldstein suggested I do so. I put up a profile with some random photos of half naked girls and sort of left it at that. At some point I just searched NYC for friends of mine and I added a girl who looked familiar to me. I had never met her, but I guess I had seen photos of her. Anyway, she was a fan of this site and we talked about doing some photos. He name is Daniele and she wants to make it very clear that it is spelled with only one L. She came out to the Jump with me but we barely talked. Then I didn’t hear from her for a while until she came out to the Body Work party on Friday. She was with a guy so I was sort of surprised and unprepared when she decided right then at that moment she wanted to get naked in a bathroom. Luckily Savalas has a great bathroom for shooting in. Daniele is sort of amazingly beautiful and as soon as I get my new camera back from Nikon I am going to shoot her again… only this time I might actually take some time with the photos. Anyway, she is a cool girl and we saw Death Race together the next day which is a movie I cannot possibly talk about without sounding like a pretentious asshole. Let’s just say that it was quite entertaining and a complete travesty compared to the original Death Race 2000. I am not sure why the hell anyone would let a video game director touch Paul Bartel’s classic.
Okay okay, I am off message here. The message is that Daniele is insanely hot, and looks insanely good naked and the only way you are going to get that message is by clicking here to see the NSFW bathroom shots. Pure joy.

the first thing is you have very bad skin and the lighting doesnt help at all skip the blush it only draws attention to your acne or rosacea. next thing is your panties are all twisted and granny like not to mention the stubble on your pubic area. have some respect for your self and at least if you plan on being naked in pictures that will live on make sure its stylized and classy
Okay. So I approve pretty much every comment on this site unless it is somehow negative towards a girl who is naked on this site. These girls do this for free, and just for fun and I don’t tolerate disrespect of them. In this case I think I have to leave the post up because their are some slightly valid criticisms as well as some shit I cannot put up with and must defend. So let’s get started.
First of all, these were shot totally out of the blue in a bathroom in five minutes while people were banging on a door. This is not an ideal situation for photography, but it is an ideal situation for fun. These photos were fun, and that’s why we did them. Personally I like them a lot despite the fact that they are not as great as I want them to be. We plan on shooting again and taking some time with it.
Because of this totally random shoot she was not prepared for it in anyway, she just decided that she wanted to get naked in a bathroom. I am sure she is VERY sorry she did not get herself waxed that afternoon. She did actually complain about her underwear, but I personally think they are cute, and I don’t think grannies normally wear thongs.
As far as her skin goes, she has a few tiny zits on her face as I am sure most 19 year old girls do. I know several professional models that have far worse skin than she does. She is not a model, but I have had two people contact me about working with her already. Her make up looks pretty shiny but I am pretty sure she did not put on make up thinking she was going to have to deal with my harsh direct flash 5 minutes after dancing up a sweat. I could have photoshopped her zits out, or I could have used a less harsh flash, but that is not really my style. I don’t photoshop anything save for a sharpening filter and maybe I will mess with the levels if I really like an image. I also like the harsh flash and I have no intentions of making people look glamourous or stylish.
As far as the comments about self respect, I just wanted to say that is complete bullshit. How can anyone judge someone like that. At the very least it is sexist and puritanical. You would never suggest a man was disrespecting himself by doing some sexy photos for fun. You are basically calling her a slut for getting naked in a way that you don’t approve of. That is pretty awful.
And lastly, as a friend of mine once told me “Classy is just another word for boring.” Get over it.
I was only making a point. the point being that your photography is flawed and your model, or as you said “she is not a model” is as well. i understand that some photographers have a niche for taking photos that do not emphasize on glamour, such as Man Ray, Terry Richardson and the photographer from lastnightsparty.com, but, they pick shots that flatter the subject and capture a moment. I comprehend that these photos were taken just for “fun” and i was not calling her a slut but if you want to take pictures for “fun” keep them for your own personal use. I believe that a woman who is brave enough to flaunt her body is a feminist, yet, if you are going to do so you should at least look your best. Looking drugged up, dirty and sweaty is not being at your best. On to you…you should not flatter yourself because i frequent this site often and i am amazed at the lack of talent you have. 99 percent of your photos make people look awful, I bet you could make the most beautiful woman or man look awful (i guess that is some kind of talent). Your site is nothing but a D list version of the cobrasnake or lastnights party. trust me no one cares if you are shooting at a party but if rony’s photobooth is there you can bet they will come. Anyone can be some horny creep with a camera who manipulates drunk or desperate to be hipster girls to take their clothes off. You sir are not a winner.
Ok. I got your comment at work today and I had to think about it all day. I had all these things to say but I decided it is not really worth it. You don’t like my photography, you think I am a creep, but you clearly don’t know me, so it is not worst talking about.
Calling these girls desperate is unfortunate and that I take some issue with. I know a lot of people who get naked for fun and they are consistently the most confident and least desperate people I meet. I also don’t know why you should have to look your best. I never look my best, I am not really concerned with it, I am not sure she is either. That being said, we both like the photosl
And in defense, which is not at all a defense. I do not claim to be anything. I personally like my photography. I haven’t always, but I do now. I like taking photos. This is a personal site. It has always been a personal site. I take photos, so I post my photos. I have been posting party pictures on this site far before Cobrasnake and LNP were even conceived. That is not to say that I don’t owe them a lot for some of the access I get and fun I have. I don’t care if anyone cares if I am shooting. I am not sure if Rony is a big draw, but when he threw his party in NYC last I was there because I think Rony is a great dude. If you don’t like my site, you don’t have to go to it, but you can. I go to a lot of people’s sites I don’t like.
Anyway, I have said more than I wanted to. I just wanted to say, that I do not want to continue this conversation on here. If you would like to talk to me about it, my information is on the contact page of my site. And I just want you to know, but I am sure you don’t care, that this stuff is both hurtful to me and the girl. I know you think I am a creep, but your comments have put me in a bad mood all day.
And lastly, I just wanted to comment for everyones benefit that although some girls are naked when I take their photos, I never post anything with out the girls sober consent, I get release forms signed, and I check ID’s. I also have a 100% take down policy and I remove anything anyone has a problem with immediately.
First off “anna rexia”, i would LOVE to see what you look like naked. I bet you don’t even have 1/8 of the confidence i have in myself. It took me a long time to feel good about myself and to break through my insecurities. Doing nude shoots is liberating and gives me a thrill no ride can give me. I am offended from reading your comment. I think that someone who criticizes someone for something harmless and fun, is probably the most boring person. Im glad you look at this site and are so insecure with your flaws that you had to point out mine. Yeah my skin is not perfect, but i still present myself as though i am airbrushed. I wear whatever underwear i like because i have enough confidence to wear whatever the hell i feel like. I think you probably look like a bag of rocks and go from site to site insulting girls that are better than you in every way. Im going to get to my point and say, im 20, im not perfect, im practically a teenager ( that age group tends to have some zits), and for the most part im a fun and carefree girl. You don’t know me or what I do in my life. I dont just go on sites and get naked. I go to school. Im in my last year of college to become a DENTAL HYGIENIST. What are you doing? Oh yeah, sitting at home, insulting a girl and a photographer that has done nothing wrong but to take pictures of a girl whos WILLING, and NOT DRUNK. So do yourself a favor “anna rexia”, take a naked picture of yourself, post it to a site where thousands of people go to. Once people comment on you and YOUR flaws, we’ll see WHOS PANTIES ARE IN A KNOT.
Daniele honey you need to start learning proper grammar instead of shooting naked pictures for “FUN”. First and foremost i have confidence. I do not have to pose nude on a little website to prove that. Everyday when i exude intelligence i feel confident and when i see sad girls like you who have to prove that they are “hot” by degrading themselves i feel very confident. I am far from insecure so you are mistaken if you think i am being a “hater”. I was only expressing my opinion. I am also far from boring, sorry if i don’t see posing nude as a good old pastime. I am sure if you were photoshopped and presented in a positive way you would look good. You misconstrued my point. DENTAL HYGIENE!!! my oh my!!! how intelligent you must be!! I am a 20 year old girl who is going towards a bachelors in anthropology. I attend NYU. If you think you are better than me. fine. I guess that makes you a hypocrite. I’m not judging you i’m just calling it as i see it. Not only do you do a fine job degrading yourself, you do an even better job at making yourself look insipid. END!!!!

Who fucking cares if she has some pimples? who doesn’t have pimples?? I’ve got some pimples! Unless Anna is a dolphin (i’m assuming dolphins don’t get acne), I don’t think she has any place to make judgments like that.

Daniele… your gorgeous, don’t even waste your time listening to this girls lame attempt at bringing you down, secondly.. I like the photographs on this site… its nice to see girls in their natural state showing off their natural beauty. A woman shouldn’t be photoshopped to perfection because its the little flaws that each person has that makes them who they are.
on that note, Anna why waste your time being negative about other people who are just harmlessly expressing themselves. and Daniele…. if your ever in Canada gimme a call hehe
